okay here is to those who want some little clarifications regarding manual and automatic transmissions:

simply i would like to try add to the already mentioned differences.

    my ride is a 4x4 2.5 Manual. but i also own a 4x4 auto

    manaul tranny's are good if:
    1. you're after better fuel economy
    2. faster engine response
    3. controlled engine torque
    4. sturdier tranny system
    5. lower maintence cost(after 4-5 years)
    automatic if:
    1. ease of driving

this looks like i'm very bioased against auto's but the fact of the matter is it really is just better if you want to have a care free, relaxed driving atmosphere... diba wala na clutch? hehehehehe

pero with the kind of driving that i do(i'm into construction, large scale earth moving, mining), and my prvious hobby(competitve 4x4). i do a lot of 4x4.

a manual tranny is sturdier and more reliable...remember this configuration has been around for a very long time already... the only problem is that it is noisy and the shifter vibration can drive some people crazy.

in the end it all boils down to your driving style and preference.

Share ko lang. Just this afternoon, my MMAS remote suddenly didnt work. The led light was steady orange. So i had to do a manual override just to drive my truck. Checked the photocopied manual (thanks to sir bobcas for uploading it), and it says steady orange means remote lock is on. Tried to unlock it but didnt work. The spare remote was ok naman. I figured out baka low bat so I changed the battery. And, true enough, ok na siya. Hope this helps.

Doc Boz, ako din, I changed my battery sa MMAS remote lock ko just 2 weeks ago before Christmas. Same symptom, LED light was steady orange.

Different year model will have a different alarm system, so I suggest that you check your alarm system manual for how to use your override. It will be useful in certain situations, like the situation that was mentioned by Boz, a drained remote lock battery.

All our stradas are equipped with an override switch which you will find underneath the panel. For those with the tri-diamond remote locks ('06 and '07 models), the procedure is to turn the ignition to ON, press the override switch 3 times, then turn the ignition to off.

Sana malinaw, o mas lalong lumabo?

Yes sir . We spent the first day of the year camping sa Adonot River. My kids enjoyed it a lot. They learned how to build a fire and experience outdoor cooking and sleeping under the full view of the sky .`
