You were very lucky Sir blueknight. A spare tire with rim cost an arm and a leg these days and you cant drive without one. try to change or buy a thicker/fatter chain that cannot be cut easily. See you po sa eb.

Hi everyone,
Im new here and meron palang ganitong discussion thread dito. Im researching about Strada and Navara and napdpad ako dito. Im planning to have the pickup anytime this year and will use it for frequent long distance driving and hauling in the farm. Anyone from here na meron both-actual rides pwede ba compare performance, fuel consumption, and ride? Im considering the 4x2 muna kasi seldom ako sa off-road. Based from my observations eto nakita ko:

4x2 2.5 CRDI - both have no turbo timers and stock tires is 205
Navara - low ground clearance, maliit ung wheel arch-fender flare sa likod as compared sa 4x4(distinct mark bet 4x2 & 4x4), with ABS-EBD-LSV-dual airbags, but no Limited Slip differential.
Strada GLX - high ground clearance and stance same with the 4x4(siguro kasi dahil over the axle ung leaf springs?), only LSV.

Pasensya napo dami tanong, hirap kasi pumili. BTW napansin ko haba ng thread ng Strada sumakit mata ko magbasa, prang mas convinced na tuloy ako..hmm..

Thanks and more power!

HOw much ba price offering ng dalawang pick-ups? I suggest get the 4x4 nalang... you'll never know what will happen in the farm if there's a storm or whatever. Plus, hauling at 4x4 mode brings more safety.

Guys, kuwento lang. Yesterday, I asked, or should I say 'allowed' my wife to drive the Strada. Before, I was apprehensive na baka mahirapan siya o mahirapan si Strada. She's been driving the Innova VVTi for more than 2 years na. Aba, ang first reaction "Masarap pala i-drive 'to." She even drove it uphill (30-45 deg) and downhill. Comfortable and easy to drive daw. The next time we went out, hinihingi uli yung susi sa akin. This definitely put a smile on my face.

to our Stradas.

nexan:

welcome to the thread. just like what sir DonT said "order the strada now and never look back." you will not regret it.

however, I suggest you test drive both, compare prices, features, comfort, ride, performance, etc. Navarra has a new design so, conti pa lang sa road. go with your guts.

eventhough i haven't driven or test driven Navarra, as for me..strada pa rin I like the look. IMO.

before, yan din ang kinocompare ko...strada and navara. but first thing that comes to my mind is the price comparison. sa price ng 4x2 ng navara pwede ka na bumili ng 4x4 ng strada. so i went to mitsubishi dealer near our place and nang makita ko ang strada hindi ko na ito maiwan...irresistable talaga lalo na when you're riding it.

i also have a friend from nissan, sales supervisor sha sa nissan blintawak, and maski sya nagandahan sa strada compared to their navara.

*nexan,
May i suggest to get a strada variant to hit 2 birds with 1 stone: 2.5GLS 4x4 yep, 4x4 sya, BUT its almost comparable to the price range of the navarra 4x2... since you mentioned FARM, i dont expect paved roads for you to tread on. Yes, the GLS may not have the ABS, but break force will always be linear and smooth- at this point, i choose the 4x4 drivetrain over ABS since this will come in very very handy...

kung kaya mo, u can go for the 3.2 GLS Sport

as u get your strada (even when u don't have it yet) welcome to a happy bunch of strada owners and aspirants

Thanks for the suggestions mga sir.
At first, i was also taking that into consideration-getting 4x4 Strada GLS 2.5 over the Navara because of the close price difference (1,110,000 - 1,026,000). My farm is made of paved pathways and from my experience with my old ute-yota4x4 never engaged the 4x4. Also i will use the vehicle for frequent long drive(manila-bicol-northern luzon) and having extra 250kgs for the 4x4 tranny would add up to the fc(power to weight ration). But then again this is applicable to me -for other buyers who are considering these vehicles, it will still depend with their purpose and preference. Right now siguro im relying on the reviews of the satisfied Strada owners. The vehicle is almost 2yrs in our market and Navara is just a newcomer-only UK and Australian reviews are available.

Question lang po mga Strada owners, whats the fc for the 2.5GLX Might consider na siguro tong GLX if the fc is reasonable..im a bit concerned with the environment.Ciguro kung meron 4x2 na 3.2, euro2 compliant at comparable sa 2.5 ang emission at fc nya, might consider the 3.2 na plus the safety package(ABS-EBD-LSV-SRS AB) Iba parin kasi yung may ABS sa high-speed..hehe sa 4x4 dapat naka off ang ABS at may hill assist pero i dont need it.

welcome to the thread sir nexan. mine is a 2.5glx and my fc is around 9-10 km/l, city driving lang yun. di ko pa na-compute kung ano ang fc kung hi way driving. ganda naman experience ko with the strada... no regrets, hehehe

Yup... Nissan is prone to rusts... Meron din ako nakitang L2's na nagkakarust pero dumating na ako ng college. Yung Nissan, Grade 6 pa ata ako... :hihihi:

Btw, this is a Gen1 L2 were talking about and a Nissan Power Eagle.

Afaik, highway FC ng 2.5L is around 14-15 km/l... Wait for the other owners here...
And btw, get an automatic transmission. Very very very very good sa city!

Another afaik, euro 3 compliant ang 3.2L and euro 4 ang 2.5L... Im confused... ano ba talaga? Hehehe...

Btw, kanina, I saw a black Navarra, 4x2 ata kasi ang baba ng ground clearance... It still looks like a Frontier only wider.

Oh I see... Okay na! Atleast it passed the compliance of our country.
Di ko maintindihan bakit walang tax ang mga euro 1 below na vehicles...

*Sir Numbah5,

Yung 2.5L CRDi DI-D gamit ng Euro market... Euro 2 rin ba o 4?
