To all those who attended the 1st EB, CONGRATS! Inggit ako. Pero sa next EB, sisiguraduhin ko makapunta. Bahala na sila... Diba av8or5?
Miggytanya, I think I saw your truck in Talisay, Cebu. Nice ride. I'm presently in Cebu for a 1-week vacation. Dami rin Strada dito na naka-porma.
I miss my truck. Its been 7 days na di ko sya na-drive...
Just curious , what the fastest anyone has taken the 3.2 li strada?
Got back from the nlex , was averaging 140kph
I took it to as high as 170kph , but I keep running out of road due to cars in front
The acceleration from 140 to 170 was pretty fast anyone think kaya ng strada mag 200kph with better tires and a sport lid sa bed or better aerodynamics?
My pickup is stock , so I can imagine the drag nung open bed at tankad nung sasakyan
I'm not dumb enough nor am I encouraging anyone to do this, syempre hehe
I'm just amazed that sa acceleration to 170 , parang laki pa ng maipipiga
I also work offshore so I'm out of the country every 5 weeks. You may have seen my unit among the other 4 red stradas running around Tagbilaran. It's a 4x4 AT 2.5L. I just installed a thule roof bar on it. Actually it's from my previous Ford Explorer Sportrac because I used to do kayaking so I have the thule kayak carrier on those bars.
Kelan ba uwi mo sa Bohol? Ako sa Jan. 26 pa. Ano nga pala kulay ng Strada mo?
Curious question... How does the ride of the Sport Trac compared to the New Strada?

Kung sa 2.5, kayang-kaya ang 180kph or even a little more, yung 3.2 sigurado kong kaya ang 200kph. Magpipigil lang eh yung wind resistance.
Hintayin nating mag-upgrade yung mga 3.2 ng 18 inch mags para H or V rated yung tires, so they can safely reach or even go beyond 200kph.
BTW, ever noticed that there is relatively minimal wind noise at 180kph. Talagang maganda ang aerodynamics nung body.![]()
I always hit 180km/h in STAR tollway southbound...stock tires but with carryboy sport lid na. Mine is only a 2.5L M/T GLS. What more pa if its a 3.2L. Haven't tried it yet with the 3.2L, but im sure it could easily hit 200 km/h, provided MMC has not programmed its ECU to limit it to 170/180km/h. Manufacturers do this obviously for safety reasons. And WE should to. Our stradas were not made to be raced considering the low rating of our stock tires. But once in a while, when the kid in our hearts begs, its engine is more than willing to indulge us in our craving for speed.![]()
Yes, if it wasnt for the engine growling , I wouldnt know it was 170kph already
My daughter could see dust and sand spinning in the bed behind us , lakas siguro ng wind resistance nun
A lid would definitely minimize drag at high speeds
If Mitsu decides to put that 3.2 li diesel on a lancer hehe we'd have a baby evo w/ fuel consumption of 11km/li![]()
Anybody interested in taking their Stradas for a spin this weekend? Light trailing lang. I happen to find this thread at 4x4ph.com. Check it out if you guys are interested. thanks.

Hello again!
I played around with my Strada GLS Soport over the weekend and discovered a couple of things, kinda related to some of the things you guys just shared.
I loaded 3 sacks of rice at the bed and went full throttle acceleration... I was surprised to find out that it didn't feel any different that when the truck bed was empty! Sarap talagang ihataw knowing that you're pulling a lot of weight!
I wanted to see how it would feel if I accelerated at full throttle with the 4x4 H engaged (without the 3 sacks of rice this time... na-deliver ko na sa mga kapatid ko eh)...well, it felt just a little bit more powerfull than if it were in 4x2 - parang mas solid yung acceleration. I guess the added traction is what I felt.
Then I made a u-turn while the 4x4 was engaged. That's when I felt something weird and herd something weird from the steering wheel. The steering groaned at full turn. I remember warnings posted on previous conversations on this forum, that's why I released the wheels immediately. Some are complaining about their steering having sounds while turning... check if the 4x4 is engaged... =P
I went on C-5 and floored the sweet machine...then again its not the star toll so I had to slow down but was able to sustain 140KPH... I was surprised to find that the tachometer read 2,500rpm or somewhere there! The whole truck feld solid through the entire speed cruise!
A lot are also writing about turbo timers and how one can be a "manual turbo timer"...hehehe. Well, after speeding through C-5, I proceeded to park at Serendra. Unfortunately, there were a lot of cars and I had to move along at slow motion hunting for a good parking space... that's your instant turbo timer right there. I think it would be a very unusual case where you thrash your car around at high RPM then immeidately turn off your engine. Please correct me if I am wrong but a couple of rounds looking for parking will help the engine relieve the turbo pressure already since the turbo charger fully engages around 2,000rpm. OK na ba yun, relaxing your engine while looking for parking to take care of your turbo engine?

turbo timer... that's my BIG Q now
From cotabato and when i reach davao
Heavy traffic approach me
took me for about an hour to reach my destination in davao
Can i turn off my engine after i reach my destination?
Or do i have to cool it down again
regardless that im driving below 2000rpm?
Dont have much idea
But i think running below 2000rpm would cool down the turbo?
heheheheh.... enlighten us guys..
My SA told me that there's no turbo timer installed on 3.2 strada
but the supervisor texted me that it's equipped with turbo timer & auto start
Units realeased September 2007 have it... ?????????
I'll install turbo timer
Dont want auto start ( had a bad experience with it)
Change mags
After my 5000km change oil
Shifting to synthetic
Pix to follow...
tnx
My ride is white, same as yours. When I'm home I usually go out in the afternoon with a dog at the back to break some sweat. I'm hoping to get the ralliart mags I ordered from mitsu soon.
I just don't know pa any one sa mga strada owners here in TAgb. If ever, count me in if a mini EB is planned. :cool01:
