New Mitsubishi Strada [ARCHIVED]

Went to San Pablo Laguna today for a day trip to visit some friends. I must say that the SLEX is very bad compared to NLEX today. Traffic was horrible. Plus the barriers which are appearing from nowhere. However, I enjoyed the ride of my Strada from bocaue which started at 5:30am and I was back home at 8:30pm. (good thing I had A/T).

pasalubong namin? hehehhe. yeah..drove that a few days back, you have to be alert at all times when driving along SLEX.

I pass by SLEX twice a week from Lucena to Manila and back.. Grabe talaga construction doon, parang pagong kung gumawa ang mga contractors sa bagal. Just last week kamuntik na ako maaksidente going to Manila. Around 9pm I was driving the CRV. Only 2 lanes were open because of the construction and I was in the right most lane (shoulder). Then I realized I have to overtake the truck in front of me, so i signaled to the left. As soon as I changed lane, less than 50 meters away I saw an orange cone! Yun naman pala may isang truck na sobrang bagal na dahan dahan naglalagy ng orange cones to close down that lane. Wala man lang sign before that na mag merge yung lane! To make matters even worse, may 3 highway enforcers na naglalakad at nagkwekwentuhan, they were following the truck facing that direction. Only 1 freakin cone was separating them from my car, kakastart lang kasi maglagay. I slammed on the brakes sabay busina ako, yung 3 tao biglang tumakbo to the left sabay talon sa concrete barrier. I was traveling around 100 kph. Kamuntik na talaga. I almost hit the cone also. Buti walang kostse sa right lane so I was able to swerve back. Felt the ABS kick in, buti na lang equipped yung CRV. whew!

If you like, baka ibenta ko na yung Bridgestone H/T 245/70R16 (orig size of gls 2.5 4x4), 3 months used lang or 5k kms so mga 95% tread pa. No flats yet. Kakasya yan sa 16x6 or 16x7 na mags. Mag-a-upgrade lang kasi ako sa everest ko eh hehehehe......

Okay ba sa pandedemonyo?

Magkano mo ibenta sir? kasya ba yan sa stock mags ng GLX?

Mga sir, just want to ask po the owners of strada GLX, meron ba installed security system (alarm) ang GLX? Saw the brochures kasi yung 4x4 lang ang may nakalagay na equipped with MMAS. yung sa 4x2 wala nakalagay. just wondering baka keyless entry lang ang installed sa GLX.

By the way, might get a GLX na. Thanks for all your advice! Helped me a lot in my decision!

Palagay ko kakasya eh. Pero nakakabit pa sa everest ko yung gulong and I might do my upgrade in January. Kung sakali eh 5 pieces yung ibebenta ko. Ikabit mo na lang sa spare mo yung pang-lima kung sakali. PM kita for the price (it would be a reasonable price) or pwedeng PM mo ko kung decided ka na.

Anyway, bros, kumusta yung 1st EB. Wala bang pics? A-attend ako next time.

Nung kinabit ba yung carryboy container ng strada mo sa likod nagdrill pa ng butas to bolt it down? Did it void warranty? Baka kasi ganyan ipakabit ko muna habang wala pang roll up type na lid available in the market. Atleast, madali maibenta din pag dumating na yung roll up type.

Yes, nag-drill doon sa upper lip ng bed just behind the cab. Kailangan mabutas talaga pati yung metal to strenghthen the attachment. Two pieces only and no drilling at the bottom of the bed. It's very easy to detach if you need a bigger space (you only need to unscrew 2 nuts). For me, it's the best for my needs. The jumbo size occupies almost 1/2 of the bed and it's rainproof.

I guess it wouldn't void any warranties. I'll try to show pics later.
