The engine that they use in UK is 2.5 because it's euro 4 compliant. To get more power from it, they have the Animal model with a factory installed performance chip (hp and torque ratings equal to 4m41). The 3.2 is available in asia and australia, I guess.

Sir Nexan, the thread and the recent posts are enough to convince you to get a Strada. Your only problem is whether to get a 4x2 or 4x4, or 2.5L or 3.2L variant. It depends really on your preference. My FC recently on my trip to Manila - Bolinao, Pangasinan - Manila is around 14km/l. That is with aircon, overtake always attitude and moderate traffic at tarlac.

Tsaka tayo lang ang may "STRADA CLUB".
San ka pa?

Just got back from a two-day planning kaya ngayon nalang din ako nakapagon-line. many thanks sa lahat ng nag-congrats! Actually, congrats sating lahat for getting the best truck in town! Will post pix of my ride asap.

*av8or5: yeah, our rides are brothers! di ko pa napakabit yung lid and fender flares. scheduled ako next week magpakabit pag may dumating na stock from carryboy. got mine for almost the same price as miggyboy's. maynakilala kasi ako na taga carryboy. binigyan ako special discount. medyo long story pano ko nakilala. hehe. ill share it you guys pag nagkita tayo sa EB. looking forward to the TT eb pero di pa ko makasign in dahil may scheduled event nga ako nun. will try my best to fix my schedule. sabik din ako matuto from fellow "stradarians" (ayan, may iba nanamang tawag. hehe).

Btw, share ko lang po, might not get the ralliart mags. medyo malayo difference nung offset nung ralliart vs stock mags ng strada. (+10 yung sa ralliart vs. +46 yung stock strada mags). Based on my computation, if ill get a 245/70/16 and put it on the ralliart mags, lalabas sya ng mga 4" sa fenders. even with fender flares (say, 3" yung flares), medyo luluwa parin sya ng approx 1". someone please correct me po if i'm wrong (gusto ko kasi sana talaga yung ralliart mags, hehe). I based my computations din sa binigay na link ni sir drave: http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

anyway, im looking ngayon po in getting the stock mags ng GLS. Para sure na. hehe. just really want to upgrade my tires and mags para added driving security. Baka lang po may mga owners ng GLS dyan who wanted to upgrade their mags. Instead of trading your mags sa shops, benta nyo nalang po sakin.

Miggytanya, I think I saw your truck in Talisay, Cebu. Nice ride. I'm presently in Cebu for a 1-week vacation. Dami rin Strada dito na naka-porma.

I miss my truck. Its been 7 days na di ko sya na-drive...

Sir Mox... Same with other Strada owners. Overtake and overtake nalang kasi wala namang magagawa kung mabagal.

Sa Bukidnon, when I drove the Jazz... I was always overtaken by a Strada driving 90 km/h and the Strada will only take me around 2-3 seconds to overtake...

Bro,

I guess you got it wrong. The computation I got is the modified set-up would only stick out 2.1 inches from your stock set up. Try doing this. Get a thread about 2 ft. long and tie a slightly heavy object at one end (lets say a bolt). Now hold the thread at the free end (object will drop, of course) then try taping it at the apex of the fenders that protrudes the outermost. When the pendulum effect settles, measure now the distance horizontally between the thread and the sidewall of your tire. From there, you can imagine how far the 2.1 inches will go. (sana naintindihan mo)

This is my set-up. Rim has +25 offset and tire is 265/70R16. Notice that the tire did not protrude. If I have +10 offset, then the tire will protrude about 1/2 inch further out. But if I have 245 tires, it will stay as is.

Pauland,

I'm also in the hunt for a 16x8 six-spoke, gun metal color, all-new, all-orig ralliart rims, the one na stock sa fieldmaster, not the one from rota. Based on the numbers you have provided and using the link provided by Drave, the new wheel phase (using a 275 tire) should just protrude about 2 inches (2.07" to be exact) dun sa stock set up. I've been hoping na I'll chance up on a filedmaster sa casa everytime I visit so I can perhaps borrow their stock rims and try fitting it with my truck. But, thanks to Drave, we now have a very useful link. I just hope we got the numbers right for the ralliart.

I also don't know if we have enough room for the 2 inches with a 10mm offset. One problem solved. Next problem...wala akong taliiii!

Anyone from here na meron both-actual rides pwede ba compare performance, fuel consumption, and ride? Im considering the 4x2 muna kasi seldom ako sa off-road. Based from my observations eto nakita ko:

4x2 2.5 CRDI - both have no turbo timers and stock tires is 205
Navara - low ground clearance, maliit ung wheel arch-fender flare sa likod as compared sa 4x4(distinct mark bet 4x2 & 4x4), with ABS-EBD-LSV-dual airbags, but no Limited Slip differential.
Strada GLX - high ground clearance and stance same with the 4x4(siguro kasi dahil over the axle ung leaf springs?), only LSV.

Pasensya napo dami tanong, hirap kasi pumili. BTW napansin ko haba ng thread ng Strada sumakit mata ko magbasa, prang mas convinced na tuloy ako..hmm..

Thanks and more power!

nakakasakit po talaga ng mata magbasa dito sa sobrang dami... pero dahil po dito naconvinced ko po papa ko strada kunin namin...

the best po talaga strada... lalo na yung 3.2..

kailan nyo po kunin strada nyo sir???
