any truth to the rumor that the 4X2 variant of the MS has thinner upholstery less comfy seats than the 4X4 variant?

am considering getting this 4X2 variant but this rumor does turn you off di ba?

Or typo lang?

I have driven both variants na and so far for me (and my heavy butt ) I don't feel any difference as far as the seat comfort is concerned, especially during long trips.

Come to think of it, why would Mitsu, or any car manufacturer for that matter, go through the trouble of adding a separate production line to produce thinner/sub-standard seats?

So my guess is that what you are asking is just that - a rumor.

    Hi Montero Owners!!!

My father-in-Law bought his Montero 4x4 GLS SE AT last October 1st so I think I will sneak na dito sa thread nyo para sa lahat ng reviews ninyo sa mga montero nyo..

Grabe, ang habe ng thread nyo guys.. It shows lang na masaya kayo sa Montero..

Question 1. lang po..

Question 2.

Hi peeps, after having my car damaged by Ondoy and reading through 466 pages of this thread, I'm finally convinced on the MS, I must admit though that I'm skeptic about Mitsus after our '95 Lancer GLXI and '94 L300 van gave us so much headache that we sold both cars after 4 years of enduring them. Hopefully, it will be a very different experience this time around. I'm planning to get a MS 4x2 if my car ('92 MB 260E) can't be returned to its original state before Ondoy, If ever I get a MS, I plan to keep it basically stock except for a rear spoiler outside and leatherette seatcovers inside and a turbo timer. My color preference would be Sedona Red or Gemstone Gray, but most likely it would be Sedona Red since my wife likes the color when we looked at the MS early this afternoon at Diamond Motors Greenhills. Honestly, I still don't know which dealer shoould I buy it from, but the best Mitsu dealer that we were able to deal with is Carworld Pampangga, but its been about 15 years since the last time we bought a Mitsu. I still don't know whether I'll pay cash or financing but definitely not in-house financing. The only other car that I'm considering right now is the Fortuner 2.5 but I got scared when I learned that the D4D woes of Toyota has not yet been totally corrected, if I ever purchase the Monty, I guess this will be a leap of faith for me as I try to regain my confidence in Mitsu products.

    I think typo yung price ng 3.2 4x4 A/T.

    According to MMPC's website:

    2.5 4x4 M/T - P1.47M
    3.2 4x4 A/T - P1.68M

Does this mean wala nang GLS variant ang 3.2L?

I need your opinions kung ano ang mas worth it.

get what you want and need

if i were in your position, i'll get the 4x2 at. why? i live my whole life in a slow to non- moving traffic, sawa na ko. i'll be in much comfort if i ride an AT over MT. plus nakakasawa na magmaneho lalo pag nauutusan lang hehehe yun nga lang ala ng adrenalin rush when shifting to high gears in high speeds and down shifting in corners. hehehe imho

and if city driving lang, 4x4 is not as economical and 100% used, sayang lang.

my current ride is ZZ mt, Montero is at top of my list replacing my ZZ. anyways, may sportronic AT shifting ang AT montero, + and - for shifting, parang paddle shift lang in a stick.

I second the motion. If purely for city driving, A/T is the way to go. Laking ginhawa (although I drive a stick ).

AFAIK yes i think 3.2 GLS 4x4 is phase out na yata well if its city driving only 2.5 A/T is a good choice but who knows you might sometimes go somewhere where you need a 4x4 and you dont have it but i will be all depends on you test drive both 4x2 and 4x4 then decide you can try this also GLS SE he he he

You might want to wait for the 4X2 MT variant.

If mitsu will release the 2.5 4x2 MT, this would be the fort's rival.....

Get the GLS SE. worth it. you get a montero for city driving only? no way! get a sedan. You get montero because you intend to go to the provinces with big load right? and provinces have rough roads right? so get the 4x4 or get the sedan.

yup, the 1.5M 3.2 GLS is no longer available. lucky are we because it even had a less 70K during the MS introduction so naging 1.430 na lang.

sir easyman3 - My experience also with DLS Seps is outstanding best brand next to Focal in my opinion. Are your UP6i pair a perfect fit on the oem holes? No cutting needed? I still have my DLS MS5 and MS6 with me that I can probably transfer including the tweeters
