Mitsubishi Pajero Fieldmaster (Gen 2.5) [continued]

May ugong na tunog kapag high speed na. I've already asked our mechanics to check on the bearings, fortunately they found nothing. The next thing i did was i told them to check the magnet at the differential that usually indicates the metal grinding wear and tear is seen. To our surprise there was a lot of metal or metal polishings (sorry for the term). So i called up mr.atutubo to ask his opinion before opening the differential. He told me to replace the Gear oil with a higher viscosity and then observe. I waited a couple of days for i can test if the remedy has fixed the problem unfortunately not yet fixed.

Thats how we arrived with that solution replace the diff with a surplus one. Has anyone experienced this problem? I need your inputs.

Na experience ko na yung sa wheel bearing before dun sa corolla ko. Kahit hindi tumatakbo ng high speed maririnig mo kaagad yung ugong. yung akin maririnig mo kapag if takbo ka na 80-100 Km/h tapos bitawan ko yung accelerator pedal mawawala, tapos apakan ulit balik na naman yung ugong. Napansin din ng tatay ko sabay niya nangagaling sa differential. Parehas tyo 4x2.

Yup H4 Bulb, clear vision ba? saken xtreme vision... ayus naman, better than stock..

+1 ako sa xtreme vision. Also the night vision ng philips. Basta tama ang pagadjust ng headlights after installation.
Yung ang gamit ko before I replaced with it with projector lights. Malabo na kasi mata ko sa dilim lalo na pag heavy tint

Sir ask ko lang kung may lamination or tint yung bulb na sinasabi mo? Kasi bottomline if you want a better lighting, stay away from laminated bulbs. Tsaka huwag maniwala sa claim na 55/60W tapos output di umano is 80w, malinaw na pangdaraya lang, 55/60W lang ang buga nyan. So if you want a higher output, taas ka talaga ng wattage(printed mismo sa base ng plate nung bulb, not sa sticker sa packaging/box) tapos clear bulb walang tint

Then alam ko may nabibili na differential additive, add sa gear oil. baka mawala ang sound. Minsan baka balancing lang. Also pa check mo na rin yung propeller shaft kung aligned pa, also the cross joints. Cross joints need greasing or i replace na talaga.

Sir how much daw ang surplus differential? Yung saakin naman,walang sound at high speed. pero up to now hindi pa rin nawawala yung "clang" sound after coming from a reverse.

^ sa brother-in-law ko ganun din nangyari, alaga na lang talaga sa diff oil every 5,000 palit na din siya. Since M/T, mas naaalalayan yung differential. Ok din na synthetic ang gamitin para mas maganda anti-friction niya or yung additive nga ni CB.

Aray, 18T din pala, medyo mabigat.... pero ang hirap sa surplus baka ganun din ang condition. Unless na kilala mo yung surplus shop. Pero I think may magagawa pa dyan na repair.

Sir CB, san kayo nakakita nyan? I see some additives sa Ace and True value. Pero yan hindi ko pa nakita yan dun. For the engine naman, dati I use 'MotorUp'. Magaling magseal ng engine and tatahimik talaga, kaya lang phase out na raw sa mga stores. Thanks.

sorry to hear about your fm bro, ilan km na natakbo nya?
if sa tire kasi bro ang prob usually constant ang humming nya. hindi ba masyadong mainit ang mags mo after ka tumakbo? pwede din kasi sa bearing e. with your case kasi sa high speed lumalabas and if may load from the motor. tama ang suggestion nila to have your prop shaft balanced muna, and check the cross joints for wear or lubricate if necessary. if sa diffrential talaga and prob, look muna for a mechanic who knows how to adjust the ring gears and pinion for looseness. if hindi na kaya ng adjustment, pwede naman itong ipa-baklas and bring as sample to your suking surplus shop.

It's a Philips brand so I expect na correct yung naka sulat sa packaging niya unless fake ito. Eto yung pic, for comment. Meron din 5000K.

City FC is about 5-7km/l for me.
Hway FC is 8-10km/l
Smoothc cruising is subjective kasi, but the Gen 2-2.5 seems happy at 100kph. Top speed 145kph pa lang nasusubukan ko eh. takot na ako.

Highway: 8-10 km/L, average of 9 km/L
Smooth cruising speed: 100-110 km/h
Top speed: I did 155 km/h at SCTEX and NLEX, floored down na ang accel ko niyan

Sa item 3, mas comfortable pa ko kung nasa 110 km/h ang takbo ng Pajero ko. Pero that's me, and like what RT said, this is subjective.

highway: 11km/l


update lang sa additional of aux fan, my under hood temp is significantly lower than before na isa lang main aux fan. engine temp is not affected at all since may thermostat naman. also, pick up speed is faster and the car is running lighter. could be because it forces air into the intake din.

Never went up or down 7km/L, combined lagi ang byahe ko eh. Top speed 164 sa stock ralliart rims, 156 sa 26" wheels. Both iphone speedbox reading. Sir testa ganyan din yung sakin before putting an open type knn filter, nalaman ko lang nga siya nung tinanggal ko yung knn, balik 156-157 topspeed. Actually hindi mo siya maramdaman sa low rpms, sa top end ang bigay ng knn filter sa 4m40.

Try mo I mount muna sir Nelany para malamamn mo if me difference since nabili mo na. Sa XV kasi kala ko pareho lang ng stock, pero accdg. to my wife it was definitely brighter than my stock philips & flosser ...


Tama si Zix888 if nakaka KNN ka ramdam mo sa high speed not at low speed. mas easier at hi-way ang breathing ng 4m40 sa highier speed pag naka KNN...
