Hmmm, pa check mo muna yung fuel pump, radiator cap, hoses and circulation system. Might be a leak somewhere. Clue mo diyan meron green or red colored residue (depends on your coolant) around the cooling bits iside the engine compartment. As long as hindi sa exhaust lumalabas yung water pare hindi naman siguro overhaul.
OT: Pare check out my VFR in the motorcycle forum heheLast edited by pajerokid; May 9th, 2007 at 06:01 PM.

pk,
tingin ko hot lang engine bay ko, as you know i have that grill with foglights so nablock na yung air vents ng paj ko, kaya siguro the pajero drinks more coolant than average.
o.t.
papost naman yung link.

My Paj stalled yesterday. The battery seemed to suffered overcharging, it was soo hot! I installed a fresh battery, courtesy of my sister's car and it started again.. when i was to switch back to my old battery while the engine is on idle it dies whenever i remove the clamp form the battery terminal.
oh well.. drove it home with the 2sm battery and when i arrived, i quickly monitored the battery and it was again too hot!
Looks like an alternator problem to me.. wacha guys think?
BTW my paj is A/T, so we could'nt jump start it.

problem solved; busted alternator IC.. repair will cost 2k including labor. Luckily i have a surplus unit lying around, originally the paj has a 90A alternator.. good thing the 75A is sufficient.
spent only 250 pesos for the electricians fee.

Sir, the oil has to be going somewhere
Baka loose compression na po iyan, solvable by overhaul. Pero try to manage it muna. If hindi naman excessive, try to live with it and wag mo na lang muna isipin hehe. Excessive, i would say, is adding a liter every week or two, pag ganun sir, go for the overhaul. a liter a month is bearable.
Nga pala, all diesel engines consume a bit of oil under normal operation.

Hello sirs! I've been reading this forum for quite sometime already, very informative. A lot of expert advices, and am learning a lot. I just got a 2003 Fieldmaster A/T two weeks ago, and am still getting to know her. Hope to learn a lot from you guys!
