umilaw bigla yung... battery warning tsaka isa pang warning.. yung.. parang logo niya is yung may tumutulong liquid from a tank... bali 2 warning lights po yung umiilaw.. (this is on my 98 4d56tdic local pajero)
(gabi nung pauwi ako kaya.. i used lights/aircon etc etc...)

nung gabing yun.. kumiha po ako ng battery from another vehicle..

alternator po kaya? san po kaya maganda dalhin ito? im from timog.. except sa wizard.. i dont trust wizard eh.. hehe will any gas station mechanic do? or electrical po talaga dapat? thanks

Magccompliment kaya sila i.e. HID and medium dark/black tint? Thanks in advance for the inputs.

rfmafia, I don't know if there is a law regarding HID but I think HID is unsafe para sa mga kasalubong. My suggestion is if you can afford expensive HID bulbs why not get a PIAA fog lights for your Pajero, may spare kapa just in case mag-loko ang Head Lamps mo.

Kaso, san ba magandang ikabit yun?

Anyway, thanks for the input Sir.

jru120, yung fins designed para equal ang daan ng hangin sa airfilter and pang filter ng heavy particles. pag wala yun mabubugahan yung left side lang and magka clog agad yung side na yun. very interesting yung design ng airbox natin kung tutuusin, galing ng pagkakagaw.

air comes in through the fender. then blocked by the covered part of the fins, then it will go through the fins. the fins will cause the air to turn clockwise (centrifugal force ba yun? forgot my physics na. basta papunta sa outer), then habang umiikot yung air large dust and particles lilipad sa outer part, papasok sa butas sa lower part ng air box cover (ito yung kulay metal na may nakaengrave na "TOP", pareho sa black cover ng airbox natin "TOP" kaya pag nililinis natin airbox yung cover meron pa isang metal cover then pag bukas mo nandoon yung mga dumi. kung wala yung fins walang papasok diyan. kaya make sure pag install ng airbox dapat sundin yung top para pumasok yung dumi.

95 model pa gen 2 namin and ok pa alternator hanggang ngayon. 250k na ang odometer.

Will note for that Sir, thanks for the input.

How about stock/orig. parts availability? Sa Banawe ba maraming parts nun? Mga magkano aabutin (reasonable range) para ma-restore ko siya in good/stock condition just in case? Thanks in advance.
* Sir Larshell - if montero series ba orig LHD or converted RHD din? Yung harap kasi nung binebenta mo dati na 1990 motero a/t hawig nung type kong 1989 Black Pajero SWB.

AFAIK, No 3door Pajero gen1 Diesel A/T na hindi JDM ang alam ko coverted lahat Diesel A/T Gen1 or Gen2 na available dito sa manila. Yes Banawe maraming parts nyan. Medyo may kahirapan narin ang parts ng Gen1. Price range 180K lower depende sa kondition.
Cost for restoration will depend on what you want. If you want a head turning restored Pajero, you will spend more.

Montero is USDM not coverted or orig lefthand drive. Yes JDM and USDM Pajero is almost the same except to some, like grills and interior.

Thanks for the input Sir. So you mean, may available na Gen1 SWB Montero parin sa Pinas - as I understand A/T gas fueled lang available? If yes, mga magkano kaya price range? My plan is to stick with the stock interior/exterior beauty of the car siguro except for the sound system kaso hindi mo rin masabi kung anjan na. Anyway, sencia na mga Sir sa OT. Hehe.

go to banawe, get the surplus bumper lights, it wont be over 4,000 pesos, then you can ask someone to drill and install the wirings for less than 1,000. 14k is too much.

Sir PB, here's an update of my FM. Sorry a little bit late kasi i was out of the country. These are the items replaced:

2. Timing Chain
3. Chain guide (2 pcs)
4. Camshaft (kasi naputol)
5. Engive valve (4 pcs)
6. Camshaft housing (1 pc) - surplus rin
7. Gasket
8. Sprocket - surplus rin
9. meron pang iba, which my wife bought (small items)

If you want to check the chain, you need to remove the radiator and other stuff sa harap (it will be a lot of work, pero it pays to check). Siguro, the symptom that i can think of was the increase of engine noise during neutral at tumaas ang rpm to 1100. Akala ko lang before its the off and on of the aircon-compressor, kasi after a while bababa rin ang rpm to 900.
