The actual release was only 10 days ago, so you could expect yours in the next week or so.

My SA told me on Monday that my car was in Manila port ready for shipping. It will be shipped to Cebu, and reshipped from Cebu to Ormoc City. He said he will let me know when it is in Cebu but they have not been given a firm date.

Maybe they wait for a certain amount of them to be prepped or maybe they have to wait for a certain ship to be available.
so far, i've seen 3 monterosports with vgt here in bacolod. weird that the dealers in cebu are slooow to produce units considering bacolod is pretty small campared to cebu.

Sir Tucson, we are talking about the GT-V (vgt), not the GLS-V (vgt). The former was only released in Manila a little over a week ago, whilst the GLS-V has been around for a month or more.

Bacolod is a huge city compared to my abode, Maasin City

For those who have or will replace their stock speakers on their new 2011 Montero Sport - I'd just like to confirm if these speakers will fit.

Kaya nga dahan dahan muna mula kinder (2), elementary(6) at highschool(4).

Oh no you have to use a laboratory grade mercury thermometer, have to open the radiator cap and dip the thermometer if you want to measure that.

Take also the time how long it takes to reach that 82 degree temperature.

Post the time here together with the ambient temperature during the time of measurement .
By doing so everyone will now know how many minutes is considered excessive specifically for hot country like the Philippines.

i think 3 minutes would be enough or when the pointer of the gauge starts to move..

Isuzu engines like those in the crosswind don't have have glow plugs because they are direct injection. That's what I mean.

Over 82 degree Celsius is my answer to someone asking "how excessive is excessively".

82 degree is the set point of the diesel engine thermostat to open. When the thermostat opens it means the heat is excessive. The thermostat closes when the coolant temp drops somewhere below 82 and it means the engine needs more heat so it temporarily stops/restrict the flow of coolant.

Time varies depending on the initial temperature so YES waiting for the pointer of the gauge to move is the best and most practical. Driving slowly during the first start in the morning is another way to warm-up.

After 1-2 minutes idling, drive already but slowly nga lang to conserve fuel and help the environment. I think that's the best way para naka-warm-up ka na and you did a good thing pa.

    Yes it happens
White smoke sa umaga caused by incomplete combustion.

Kung hindi mawawala ang white smoke aba iba na yan... could be coolant leaking into the combustion chamber.

Black if poor air/fuel ratio. Could be too much fuel (bad injector) or sometimes too little air (clogged air filter/ loss compression).

Yes yan bro.

A couple of things I would like upgrade as soon as I get my new car.

    1. I'd like to upgrade my factor speakers and install a amp.
    2. I've heard that the stock stereo receiver is not so good, is it possible to replace it?
    3. The GTV comes with HID, but i think it is only for the high beam. For the low beam would you know the type of Halogen (h3, h4 and etc)
    4. I've seen post of people using sound dampening materials on the doors, what brand and where can I have them installed.

    Thank you.
For item 4 above, I went to Mickeys at Pasig and had an STP brand sound deadening material installed and it cost me 21k for the four doors. But it is very much worth it as there is almost no outside sounds coming in. Run out of time so i'll have the flooring done the next time i am home on leave. Now i can really aprpeciate the quality of music while driving.

Sirs, question lang. I'm driving a 2010 monty na 4x2 A/T. Saw the HU of the 2011 models. Puede kaya maupgrade yung HU ng 2010 to that of the 2011 models? If ever, magkano kaya damage, and saan puede ipagawa? Thanks.

i tried driving the 2010 Monty. They have softer steering compared to my VGT monty wen it comes to backing up and turning in tight corners.

    Hi Sir Spotdog
My Casa manager has informed me that 50 units are arriving (probably arrived already) sa Cebu today.
Am not sure the Casa you ordered from, except it's sa Visayas. The 50 units are for the Fast Autoworld company.
