Kidding aside, tigilan niyo na yan. It's the owner's preference kung gusto mag warm up or not. Unit naman nila yun, hindi sa inyo.

    Oo nga ano?Peace bro

This is what we pray to God

Amen to that...but don't you think it would be best to place your prayer under the Pitstop Cafe Thread...not here.

BTT: question: whats the use of the glow plug heater if after starting we idle the vehicle for certain amount of time? ...to reach its optimum operating temp > hey as you all said we're already have an advance & modern technology in terms of engine manufacturing and design so have faith in your new rig but not the old school vehicle w/c requires old method of PMS & usage...my opinion on this!

Pwede pa after running for long period of time or long trip, idling a turbo engine specially is a must not only to cool down but to gradually reduce the high temp and stress inside the engine's compartment, for laymans term mahirap pag scientific explanation pa, hehe

Pag naluma ang diesel engine, especially dito sa Pinas na madumi ang diesel fuel (high sulfur). I think it's best na i-warm up yung engine para uminint.

Kaya what I do is blower lang muna without the coolant.

To warm up the car cabin? auto-climate will do the rest. Car imperfections and precise timing, for past decades has been identified through research and development. Ops! hindi ko kayo pinipilit na maniwala sa akin.
Hmm. Well I was born and lived in western Europe for 45years and I beg to differ. In the extreme cold weather almost all people warn up their engines a bit in order for their heater to work. Otherwise it is very difficult to see out. Auto climate makes no difference in the morning when you engine is very cold. During the day there is a button (on my car) that gradually lets out hot air after you leave and keeps the cabin warmish for up to an hour or so.

As for warming a car up before setting out on a journey in normal non-freezing conditions; no need at all.

Just drive a little slower at the start. Chances are you have a bit of small roads before you get on the Highway (I don't ) so normal city driving is fine during warming up. Reving a completely cold engine up to the redline is not good for any engine.

Had my 1000 check up at diamond motors edsa greenhills. Satisfied with their service some delays upon arrival as there was only 1 SA. But overall was good. You can see your car bein serviced and they even washed the car and engine.

    Hello folks,

I've placed an order for a GTV 4x4, I should have it by the end of next week.

A couple of things I would like upgrade as soon as I get my new car.

    1. I'd like to upgrade my factor speakers and install a amp.
    2. I've heard that the stock stereo receiver is not so good, is it possible to replace it?
    3. The GTV comes with HID, but i think it is only for the high beam. For the low beam would you know the type of Halogen (h3, h4 and etc)
    4. I've seen post of people using sound dampening materials on the doors, what brand and where can I have them installed.

    Thank you.

Maybe start the engine before opening the gate then you go. Di ko pa nabasa ang warm up sa manual but sabi ng lolo ko our automatic transmission will not operate efficiently when its still cold.

A/T tranny na old school w/out heating mechanism will not engage OD when still cold. Pero no need for extensive idling, huwag mo lang muna ihataw sasakyan for the first 5 mins or so ng biyahe and then IMO ok na at nasa operating temperature na yang auto tranny.

    Me to Sir Spotdog.
    I booked mine in January.
The actual release was only 10 days ago, so you could expect yours in the next week or so.

My SA told me on Monday that my car was in Manila port ready for shipping. It will be shipped to Cebu, and reshipped from Cebu to Ormoc City. He said he will let me know when it is in Cebu but they have not been given a firm date.

Maybe they wait for a certain amount of them to be prepped or maybe they have to wait for a certain ship to be available.

Am pretty sure the HIDs are for dipped beam as in most OEM units. In order to have Hi beam HIDs you should have a seperate halogen bulbs for 'flashing' other motorists as well.
