Try having the batt checked & recharged. There's a chance of resurrection, sir. If it's Q85 start/stop, get a CTek start/stop trickle charger. Keeps batt healthy & extends life.

Hi sir. Yes this is possible. I did that on my 1.5 HB.

Would you want a muffler body without tips? I can sell you one, just text me here 09177372958. You can play with it and have 2 tips installed, so you can keep your OEM exhaust, untouched.

If I were to experiment, I'd do as justdiy suggested. Always best to have stock/reversible option.

Thanks sa advise sir. Actually tumawag na ako ng mazda. Free service naman ata nila iyon. Pull out nila sa office ko ung car then try daw nila i-recharge. Fair naman ba sila mag check ng battery. Baka kasi mas gusto nila palitan, hehe. Too bad lampas lang ako ng one month from its warranty.

The 2.0 iStop requires the higher grade Q85 batts. There are 2 types. Locally, Motolite has EnhancedFloodedBattery * about 3 times the cost of your regular batt.

The better type is AbsorbentGlassMat. These are pricier. Here is a pic:

For the non-iStop 1.5s, they come w/ OE Panasonic Jp batt 55D23L. It's better to go 1SM, N75D23L.

Our traffic, climate & drive conditions have proven to shorten the Q85's service life. A way to keep it healthy longer is to plug it to an iStop batt trickle charger like the CTEK start/stop shown below.

Get Amaron, kahit i-stop or non i-stop user ka. Me, I have Amaron under my bonnet kahit na 2.0 engine ako with i-stop. I-stop works perfectly. And to add, much better ang Amaron kesa sa binebentang Motolite sa casa wherein sa ibang members namin eh hindi man lang tumagal ng 1.5 years. Cost wise, lugi ka kasi para kang nagtapon ng 7.5k yearly.

True, testa brah. Motolite EFB was formulated to be a cheaper option to the pricier AGMs that had to be imported. Euro standards lean towards AGMs for start/stops. They're far superior than flooded batts.
Amaron doesn't offer AGMs to fit our cars. Please share w/ us here how long they would last in both distance & time logs. This will give everyone clear real world options. The regular silver Panasonic above is also undergoing such experiment in a 2.0 we're observing. Thanks much!!!!

My Amaron is going 3 months already. I-stop is working perfectly. I don't use i-stop in a stop and go situation. But if I do late night driving, I leave it on. I-stop duration lasts over a minute.

Buhay pa naman ang stock battery ko. Yun nga lang, nung nag-replace ako ng battery eh buntis ang stock battery ko. Before I changed to Amaron, nasa 21 months na battery ko.

It's always good to archive these tidbits for future reference. How far do you log per year on the 3, testa brah? Please get back on here upon the Amaron's eventual last breath. Hope it'll last as its slogan says...really long. Thanks, good sir!

Lets say I average 10-12k kms per year. But in terms of battery life, I prefer counting it by months. As per Amaron, the warranty is up to 21 months. Lets see if it will really last 21 months.

Yeah, regular private use is usually time-tracked. Cabs can only be covered 6mos by most brands due to the distance they log daily.
The good thing is....at about a third of the EFB's cost locally, having a regular batt dying before warranty expiry could actually be to 1's advantage. The initial 1 + the replacement might last twice longer than start/stop dedicated batts. Lasting short or beyond warranty, either way, you WIN!!!!
Please keep us posted on Amaron's life on 2.0s. Best if we can do relative comparisons w/ those trickle charged daily & those that aren't.
    Thanks much, testa brah.

Good day guys, would just like to ask for your opinions specially those who have cquartz-ed their mazda 3. Does this look like it has cquartz? Don't you think the gloss is lacking? Because I'm wondering if it's just the paint color or the detailer's doing. Would really appreciate your opinions. Thanks!
