I'm thinking of replacing it every 6 months na lang to be sure.

Engine air filter for any vehicle should be inspected on every engine oil change. Dust and other rubbish can be removed by blowing the filter with compressed air. If air filter is really dirty, it should be replaced. Replacing it every 6 mos is warranted only if the air filter is really dirty.

Sir, that's for the air filter, the CASA always do a visual inspection every PMS ko, but sad to say, baka nakakalimutan nila ang cabin AC filter ko.

After 3.5 years my car horn (busina) for my Mazda 3 suddenly broke down. Now Mazda Quezon Ave. quoted me just this afternoon Php4,500 for Bosch Europa Silver inclusive of labor.

Btw, my Yojin3 already expired and I am actually free to have it replaced outside the casa. My only fear though with having it replaced in, say Banawe, is what if my wirings get damaged. I know they charge higher in the casa but my thinking is at least I will have peace of mind that they will get it right with the wirings and relay installation.

I saw in OLX that the price of Bosch Europa Silver ranges only from 2,500 to 3,000 without labor. So once you factor in the labor cost, does it actually make the Mazda Q. Ave. quote a relatively good deal?

The difficult part is taking apart the front grill and bumper to remove the old horn and replace with new. Assuming there is no need for a relay. Its actually a plug n play affair. The P1.5k labor fee is ok.

There's a lot of trusted shops naman siguro in ba awe, check Lamson digital electronics sa FB, baka meron silang Bosch europa and check their address, I'm sure capable na silang mag replace ng horn kasi Mazda 3 is already 4 years sa Philippines market na.

sobrang dali lang magpalit ng horn sa banawe or any reputable car shop. Wala rin naman masisira if oitside papagawa. Usually 2.8-3.0k ang europa with install na. Check out araneta car accessories or import elementz.

Some car shops can actually install accessories better than the dealer ... just look for a reputable one and don't get the cheapest offer ...

In all humility & with all due respect, there has been no 1st hand declaration, sir. Pelig's presence, topnotch OCD care & work are much appreciated by many. Their added advantage, as both Mowners & tinkerers, is the familiarity w/ the Skyactiv platform.
Honestly, I believe everyone would agree that the last thing we'd want is to have our precious be someone else's guinea.[emoji4]

So how has he been a mod specialist? I haven't seen or heard of him even attend our mechanical seminars in Japan. He's more of a tinkerer. With all respect to my official fellow engineers in our given brand it's like saying coz a lot of people go to him or his establishment doesn't make him an "expert" on a vehicle that we designed.
