Let's talk wheels, tires, vibrations, match mounting & balancing....
I've recently just found time to swap on new tires on my hobo, rotated those on my ex-daily & had em balanced on my fave balancing equipment...the Hunter GSP9700 Road Force Balancer.

Why? Not only is it fast & precise, It has:
-eCal™ Auto-Calibration.
True "self-calibration" & No operator input required
-Diagnostic Load Roller.
Solves vibration problems, Identifies vehicle pulls & Provides "new car ride"
-SmartWeight® Balancing Technology.
Improves balance, Minimizes weight usage.
This equipment will direct match mounting & even refuse a wheel/tire combo that can't be balanced anymore.
Balanced wheels that still give vibrations are almost always corrected by the Road Force Balancer & it usually does w/ very lil of those unsightly weights. In simpler terms, this is the ultimate. Find 1 local to you.
On tire mounting, I also learnt that proper orientation(match mounting) of a new tire relative to the valve stem isn't common knowledge even to local tire techs.
The Proper Way....
If you find temporary yellow & red dots on your new tire, align the RED to your valve stem like the pic below. If only yellow, then align that to the stem.

As tires wear, it's recommended that balancing be performed everytime you rotate tires.
And if you have to dismount to patch punctures properly from the inside, always mark on tire the valve stem point to avoid shifting balance. Many now prefer the quick puncture fix tho...the tire plug. I've noticed that some of these plugs eventually leak again. This from 1st hand experience.....but it's really a timesaver.
Hope this helps as I know many have plans of swapping rims & tires.
