Hi everyone, anyone experienced a "thud" sound in the the front suspension when turning?
Newbie here and sometime lurker.
Has anyone experienced a complete electrical failure with their car?
I was at a stoplight and I-Stop had either engaged or was about to engage when the power went out. It was like when a blackout hits and everything turns off. The screen was blank, interior lights did not work, neither did the hazards, nothing worked. I had a flatbed bring the car to the casa. While the car was being loaded on the truck, we found out that the electrics had gone back on and the engine started.
Prior to the incident, I'd brought the car in to the casa due to rough idling (engine rpm going from 500 to 900 rpm). The car had stopped once previously but it started right back up. Casa changed the spark plugs. That didn't solve the rough idle + I get complete electrical failure.
The car is in the casa now for diagnosis and repair.
Any idea on what is possibly wrong with the car, battery, altenator, capacitor, wiring???
Thanks for any advice.
Seems like whatever should have kept the lights running when the engine stopped didn't turn on.
Better get that glitch fixed before warranty expires... Otherwise it seems like an expensive repair.
Any recommendation for tyre replacement? My car is 2.0 so 215/45R 18 89W yung size nya per specs. Yung current tyres ko is Dunlop Sportmaxx. Meron ng 2 na may bukol so I'm not inclined to go for Dunlop (stock) this time around. Hope you can suggest brands which carry the specs mentioned. Wag naman dina sana yung masyado mahal. My budget is around 5-6k only per tyre and where to buy na rin?
any low profile tire is prone to side wall buldge if the recommended tire pressure is not met.

Sometimes electronic gremlins in a modern day vehicle can be diagnosed to weak / faulty battery ...
Hi Sir. Thank you for the advice.
Update -- Casa called and advised that my battery is defective (Motolite I-Stop). Two of the six cells are defective. Buti nga lang, the battery is still under warranty -- it was installed only last August. (In contrast, the Panasonic i-Stop battery which originally came with the car lasted 2-1/2 years.)
I asked the casa whether they also inspected the wiring. They said that they did and found nothing out of place.
Hopefully replacing the battery solves the electrical and rough idle problems and I don't get another defective Motolite.
hi guys,
need help. anyone knows where i can get Amaron battery good for our M3 skyactive here in the South area - Alabang, Las Pinas.
somehow i was informed that Amaron Pro or HiLife fits.
is there a setting required after battery installation (for iStop)?
appreciate inputs from Amaron users here.
thanks.![]()
I am now using Amaron for my car battery. Replaced my Motolite EFB last December and so far I haven't encountered any problem or compatibility issues with the Skyactiv engine. Regarding the iStop settings, when I got the new battery, my iStop just reset automatically after a few hours of use so I did not anymore bother going to Mazda. I called Mazda after a week and told them about the automatic resetting of my iStop. The service advisor told me it should be fine and there's no more need for me to bring my car to the casa for resetting.
