Sadly they already doubled the price. I got mine on sale 2 years ago. Also went for the paid full Torque app.

Will this work for diesel? Or I need a separate scanner for diesel?

As long as it has an ECU and an OBD2 socket, yes.

Thanks! The reviews from amazon seems favorable. I'll probably just buy this from amazon.

This branded elm327 product seems better than the generic ones. The BT version is cheaper by $10.

Haven't tried, but w/ mzdconnect on bluetooth, wifi version should make your android go on multi-task mode?

I think that should work but I reckon that would quickly drain the android phone's battery. For those who don't need to use the OBD-II scanner while driving, the BT should be enough.

Found another OBD-II scanner that seems good also (at least based on majority of Amazon reviews)

BAFX is good, too. That has been around for some time now.
Smartphone OBD apps like Torque got gauges. I've developed the habit of monitoring the engine's behavior thru them. Rarely is the scan function needed, but when the CEL pops, you'll be grateful.[emoji4]

Here's a BT scanner that can double as a HUD:

    Pretty popular with Mz2ners.

Weird, this morning when I started the engine, the CEL is still there, turned it off again after the initial warm up, after a few minutes when I started the engine again, it was gone, do I still need to go to the CASA for them to check or no need na???

Maybe not immediately but go when you can... they can probably read the reason for the error code to begin with.

After a few cycles, the old code is usually stored & the light could go away. Have it read & checked. If twas a fluke 1, fine. If it wasn't, have it addressed. You wouldn't wanna go limp again on moments you shouldn't, right?[emoji14]

Better bring it over. The fault code is still in the memory. At least you will know what went wrong or if a part will soon fail, makapaghanda ka na.

This one happened to me some time ago... the engine will start, sometimes not. Only to find out that the culprit is just a loose terminal.
