    sir yapoy, i had the starter check sometime last year nung nasa las pinas pa ako..may pinalitan eh, just not sure kung ano un.....ung sa may ignition naman, pinalitan ko na un..it cost around 300 something, diy lang..."click" lang ang tunog when i turn it on....basta click lang ng click...

    pati battery terminals nagpalit na rin ako nung pang sound, ung magandang klase just to make sure....


    pero as of now kia is starting again....

    pero ill still have the starter check again....

    my front disc brakes sticks to the disc... does anyone encountered this?

    kaka-gastos ko lang ng new brake pads, pati yun front brake kit... pero ganun pa din yun problem... the brake pads still sticks to the disc.

    good thing kanina, sa highway, medyo malamig kaya d masyadong nag-stick yun pads sa disc.

    ano kaya yun damage na'to?

    you mean your brake pads sticks to your rotors.

    baka hindi "compatible" ung pads sa discs. but i know there's no such thing.

    nakagamit na rin ako ng cheap pads sa carnival namin, di naman naninikit tulad niyan. lakas lang mag dust.

    yup the brake pads sticks to the rotor. yun piston ng caliper doesn't go back. kaya the pads sticks to rotor. the culprit is the master cylinder, worn out na ata yun mga rubber loob.

    ayun hanap muna ako ng repair kit.

    for the guys who drive an A/T, I noticed that when I accelerate hard (whether in eco or power mode), I have to ease off a bit on the accelerator so the gear would shift. . otherwise the rpm would hit the 3k mark before it does . . . is this normal? it is my first time to own (& drive) an A/T vehicle . .

    hi bro, this has happend to me with my old toyota crown. when i leave the house. ok ang preno. but pag medyo malayo na ako (5km away). parang naninikit ang preno. all what was needed was to loosen the adjuster behind the brake pedal. sabi ng mechanic kailangan may konting play and brake pedal kase the fluid expands pag mainit.

    bro, thats normal. rpm would even reach almost 4,000 if on power mode before shifting.

    few days back. while changing the oil of our sedona. i notice power steering leaking from the driver side lower suspension arm. had it repaired. parts replaced:

    power steering kit - 650.00
    3 original return hoses - 400.00
    labor - 2,000

    fyi, when you plan to change oil. the oil filter of our sedona uses the same oil filter of mit 4d56 (pajero, l300, l200, adventure).

    sir mintoy, regarding oil filter, is the one you mentioned the same for all the engines of carnival/sedona, kasi kakachange oil ko lang sa kia alabang, and yung oil filter nila e asa box pa oem ng kia. good to know para if ever mag diy ako hanap na lang ako ng minention mo. anyway changeoil costs me around P2400 all in may libreng carwash pa, with 8 liters of petron engine oil, universal daw yun, kaso walang palit ng air filter kasi bago pa raw, so hinanginan lang.

    One question mga sirs, yung makina ko kanina lang started a very strong vibration sa forward part ng main engine dun sa kinakabitan ng accelerator cable, that is when idling and yung tunog e intermitent na, pag nag silinyador medyo nawawala pero sobrang ingay naman, dont know what it is, would appreciate your help guys.

    i'm not sure if the oil filter of the sedona and the carnival are the same. with regards to your problem. it could be worn out engine supports. have them checked

    any idea what this is? At cold start, I am experiencing rough idling. But after you rev it up for up to 30 sec, the idling becomes normal. What could be the cause? I sent it to Kia, and they just pumped the priming pump, but the rough idling in the morning is still there.

    ok sir mintoy noted, kaso medyo malayo pa byahe ko para maipacheck ulit, currently kasi im in the prov and i dont want just any hands to fiddle with the engine, in the case of the strong vibration during idling i also noticed that the rpm is way below normal, rpm stays at 500 instead of the usual 750, really dont know what it is.

    thanks for all the feedback. mukhang isa ang common sa mga responses nyo: injection pump. Malamang nga! Ipapaschedule ko na next week sa Betan. First time ko kasi magkadiesel. My engine supports, accelerator cable, CV joints, tranny, fuel filters are all in good working order and almost all newly serviced. I pray na ito na ang sagot.

    sir mintoy: yung "reverse surge" naman sa akin parang biglang nagso-slow down kaya mapapasubsub ka ng konti. Nago-occur siya within the first half an inch ng pagrelease at pag tapak sa accelerator kaya wala pang 1500 rpm at hinde pa nag engage ang turbo. siguro ito na yung sinasabi sa mga injector discussions na nag he-"hesitate".

    bro, check mo muna yung "free play" ng brake pedal baka tukod... also have your master cylinder checked for worn out rubber seals... worst case is a defective vacuum booster...

    yung assembled auv namin dati nag ka ganyan.. tumutukod yung preno kaya hirap tumakbo tapos umiinit yung rotors.. kaya minsan sa gitna ng daan eh nag bleed pa kami ng brakes para lang lumuwag.. yun pala yung vacuum booster ang problema..

    Oh I see, I thought something is wrong with the shifting.

    Btw, although I haven't really tried measuring my FC, I estimate I am doing something like 7 to 8 kms/liter (mixed hiway-city, las pinas via slex to makati & vice versa). Is this ok for an A/T?

    hehehe ok na naman carnival ko, found out that the strong vibration e dahil sa kumalas na screw ng injection pump, na nagcause naman ng sira sa camshaft. diy ko lahat, and found out na tumalon na rocker arm sa position nya, dahil siguro sa lakas ng kalog and yung isang exhaust valve e di na maactuate... kaya nagiging tambutso na rin halos yung ait intake nya. pero ngayon ok na. ganda na naman ng takbo. even the shifting, yun nga lang costs me 2 more days to stay here but anyway, sakit talaga sa ulo.

    Mga Sirs: Help! Hinde ko na talaga alam kung saan ko dadalin ang sasakyan ko for the sudden "surge and reverse surge" problem as I accelerate and decelerate. I already took your advice and went to Betan, they spent a lot of time with my Sedonna wala daw problema ang injectors. And then I went to cruven wala din problem sa pangilalim.

    Sa "backlash" naman, when I tested it as how sir yapoy instructed, I can nudge it by about one inch only. Parang normal naman yata yon for a M/T.

    Nasa casa rin ako last December. After replacing some CV joints wala pa rin. PMS check; the works. Ganoon din.

    Walang slack ang accelerator cable, bagong mga fuel filters at all engine supports pero andyan pa rin.

    Can I take it to one of you guys so you can look at it and you can compare it with yours? Anytime at anyplace in the Makati and neighboring towns sana or Cainta and neighboring towns, too. Wag lang Thursday sa Makati area. I will bring it to any of you who is willing to test drive it. I do not know what to think anymore. Thanks.

    sir boquito baka naman mga bushing mo lang sa ilalim, kasi yung kotse ko na lancer parang surge din ang dating pag apak sa accltr, alam ko na bushing sakit nun kasi pinang byahe ko yun sa bundok na roug road rally style ang driving, pero hinahayaan ko lang, lanaman kasi kaso, andar pa rin naman. guess lang po yun.

    guys, gud pm...baka pwede nyo ako matulungan ulit..

    just this afternoon nung paalis n kami sa parking lot ng walter mart munoz

    nung nag start na ako ng carnival, ung rpm ko biglang umakyat, nag rev mag isa....so i decided to switch the key off...dami tuloy usok sa labas ng parking....anyways, inulit ko ulit, start again, same result, rpm would shoot up....so patay ko ulit susi...then i decided to check the throttle cable, pero ok naman sya at walang slack....tama lang ang kabit....i also check my gas pedal, wala naman ako nakita problema....ilang beses din ako nag try mag start pero same result.....rpm would shoot up..basta umabot na ng around
    2.5k rpm pinapatay ko na makina....i was in the parking lot for almost 3hrs...hassle

    so nag pa tow na lang ako.....then malapit na ako sa circle, i decided to "kadyot" the car.habang naka tow....(taxi lang pala ang nag tow sa akin).....saying to myself, what the heck try ko paabutin hanggang dulo ung rpm....dahil bwiset na bwiset na ako.......

    so i "kadyot" the car...then rpm went up.....1.5k....2k...3k then around 5k rpm...the needle went down and it returned to normal condition.......so i told the taxi to pull over...so ayun normal na ulit...

    then dito na sa house....i turned it off, then start again...normal na naman sya.....

    guys long story pero, ano kaya cause nito..baka pwede nyo ako matulungan mag detect kung ano problem......hay gastos na naman

    bro. wild rpm happen to our pregio. the culprit was a broken spring behind the rotor head. in my wife fuego. engine won't idle and just die. also due to a broken spring. if it happends again you might need to have your injection pump checked/ overhauled to see for damage.
