I very much like the new Carnival but reading the threads...... it seems that the Carnival has a lot of sira. Is my assumption correct?.....for those 2009 owners. Is it still worthy to plan in buying the carnival? Pls share your thoughts carnival owners....thanks

any brand meron talagang problema..like the D4D problem of Toyota and Isuzu's 4JX1 sa trooper...My unit is fast approaching 30,000km this month so far so good..there might be a minor problems but buying and owning a Carnival is one the best decision I ever made.

What do you mean na madaming sira.. Minor lang naman sa akin.. Worth pa din bumili ng carnival.. except for the price.

    I couldn't agree more.
i guess the only disappointment i had was that tho my unit was a mid 2009 EX model it appears that i got fewer features than earlier ones, kahit same year model pa. walang masasabing standard na accessories sa CBU. nevertheless, i've learned to love my carnival just the way it is. smooth & comfy ride for my wife & kids (although i don't get to enjoy it as a passenger cuz i'm the designated driver all the time), powerful engine, and trouble-free driving.

Guys is it true that the Sedona / Carnival ay hanggang model year 2011 na lang at wala na raw new model ang Kia after that? They will stop selling it in Europe by that time pero di ko lang alam kung affected ang US, Korea at Other markets.

Saka pansin ko wala ng facelift etong Carnival. Is this the end of the line for this product?

i dont think it will be.... hehehe...
guys, ingat talaga tayo sa pagpapakarga ng diesel, nabiktima yun pinsan ko. one day dala nya yun carnival nya to ofc, nun palabas na cya going home, bigla nalang ayaw mag start. so we had it towed to the casa, yun pala nag shut un injector nya due to water mix dun sa diesel... sensitive talaga crdi engines when it comes to fuel.

Where did you get this info? The carnival is a popular MPV in other countries like in Australia.. Besides, walang MPV line up ang KIA if they decide to stop it.. Maybe GEN3 siguro in 2011..

Kia to cease production of Sedona MPV in 2011

When Kia ceases production of the seven-seat Sedona MPV in 2011, it will be the last version of the model to roll out as the manufacturer doesn’t plan on replacing it with another model. This bit of news tidbit was confirmed by a company official who explained that the production will end due to reduced demand.

He pointed to the downsizing trend as a trigger. Kia’s efforts in Europe are making powertrains smaller and more efficient so it’s quite understandable that a large MPV with lots of power and high emissions won’t get as much interest.

Kia to Kill Sedona in 2011

South Korean manufacturer Kia will cease production of the seven-seat Sedona MPV in 2011 and won't replace it with another model. The news was confirmed by a company official who explained that the reduced demand for the Sedona was the main factor that convinced the company to stop production of the car.

“With the current trend being towards downsizing, there is no longer a case for cars like the Sedona in the UK,” a source was quoted as saying by autocar.co.uk. “All our efforts in Europe are making powertrains smaller and more efficient so it’s hard to make a business case for a large MPV with lots of power and high emissions.”

hmmm.. I think sa Europe lang mawawala ang Sedona.. Lets hope that it will not affect the US and Asia Market.. Wala naman nabanggit na kasama ang ibang area...

    Likewise, Happy Holidays Carnival owners!

mikmik316, it would be nice if you could cite the source where you got the information that Kia will discontinue the Sedona/Carnival line in 2011. I brought this up with a high-ranking officer working at KIA Phils. It's NOT true daw. The Carnival/Sedona line, according to him, consistently tops the UK, Europe and Australia markets raking in decent revenues for the company. Maybe hes got a point. My 2 cents..

I just had my carnival's 15K PMS.. Since 20K is a big expense.. how much did you spend for it? The casa told me that it is mandatory to replace the fuel filter.. I asked the dealer, how much is the price for the fuel filter? Its 5K.. Can somebody confirm on this?
