I just had my carnival's 15K PMS.. Since 20K is a big expense.. how much did you spend for it? The casa told me that it is mandatory to replace the fuel filter.. I asked the dealer, how much is the price for the fuel filter? Its 5K.. Can somebody confirm on this?

yup... mandatory po yun replacing of fuel filter at 20k PMS. yun pinsan ko na meron din carnival na SWB, di nya pinalitan yun kanya at 20k PMS, you know what happened? at exactly 21653 kms, bigla nalang pumugak pugak yun carnival nya in the middle of the road! tinawagan agad nya yun casa for assistance since warranty pa naman... ayon, pinalitan lang yun fuel filter at umandar agad!!! 6500k po yun fuel filter dito sa mindanao!

ooopss. sorry for the misleading info. I only spent 4T for 15K PMS.. But I asked my dealer on how much will I spend for 20K Pms, roughly around 15K to 20K. The fuel filter replacement is really costly..

guys, ingat talaga tayo sa pagpapakarga ng diesel, nabiktima yun pinsan ko. one day dala nya yun carnival nya to ofc, nun palabas na cya going home, bigla nalang ayaw mag start. so we had it towed to the casa, yun pala nag shut un injector nya due to water mix dun sa diesel... sensitive talaga crdi engines when it comes to fuel.

yup, also experienced this.. and na-experience ko din na masiraan ng alternator.. minor lang naman na problem kasi parang may natanggal na contact daw according to the mechanic sa casa... pero, nonetheless, na-hassle din kami kasi tatlong beses na ako nagpalit ng baterya sa loob lang ng isang taon bago ko pa nalaman na may problema na pala alternator.. tsk.. tsk.. tsk.. pero ayos lang.. ok na si carny ngayon.. hataw pa din..

I bought my Carnival in January 08. The dealer gave free 3-year LTO registration, which should be good up to 2011. However, only stickers up to 2009 were available at that time. I called the casa to find out about getting a 2010 sticker this year. I was told that I did not have to. They claim LTO will not stop me for not sporting a 2010 sticker, since they know that they did not have 3-year stickers in 2008. Sounds suspicious to me, but they claim this is the same situation for all the cars they sold in 2008. I just need to register in 2011. Has anybody heard otherwise?

sir, yun na experience ko naman was with my toyota vios. thou 3 years naka register yun car, the casa is securing my yearly sticker. pinupuntahan ko cla every year na due yun sticker.

bought our carnival in july 08. it had the 3 year sticker.

i spent P5,060 on 30T km checkup. So far so good..... changed the front wheels already though.

near 35T km, I can now feel the tires vibration...planning to replace all 4 tires this year...what brand did you get? how much?...planning to change brand like dunlop and bridgestone..

nasabit sa gater ung front left side na gulong ng carnival nmen, and pumutok ung wall ng gulong. no choice but to replace. its hard to find the same tires na ibang brand, kumho lang talaga ang may ganyang size. when i went to JSM tires, meron din daw na sabugan na carnival and changed 4 tires with nangkang, pero different size daw from kumho. they were selling kumho tires for 4k each. wala pa dw 5k tinatakbo ng masabugan. so kinuha ko na ung 3 tires, para may extra 2 tires pa ako. i asked kce sa casa how much the kumho tires is, 9,500 daw each.

ask ko lng po. is you reserve tire is donut tires? mine is donut tire. nkktakot if you traveling out of town, naflatan ka, nkktakot ibyahe ung donut tires..

When do you fill the vibration? Baka may problem ang disc rotor mo...??? You can ask your dealer to check it...

Nope. Mine is not a donut type.. What year did you got your carnival? Variant? Mine is SWB EX...

It's not really a vibration like what you said before na during high speed brake nag vibrate...feel ko lang na sensitive na ang ride even sa konting rough road surface...but i will check my rotors next change oil. thanks!

My Carnival's alternator got busted.. If you see in the dash the battery icon and brake icon are turning on.. The alternator is having some problems.. Better bring it to your servicing dealer.

naku nagpalit na po b kyo ng baterya? san kaya makakabili ng battery ng carnival ang mahal sa casa tia

Nagpalit na ako ng battery. Rocket ang binili ko.. Sa casa ko na din binili kasi nagmamadali ako that time and the battery was really weak na..9K ang bayad ko.. That was last November, 2009.

But if you are not in a hurry, you can try in banawe and check for battery that can hold 100 amps. Don't buy motolite, maximum amps lang ata nila is 75 to 80, which it will damage the alternator.

As I said, kung nag blink yung battery indicator mo, it means may problem na yung IC sa loob ng alternator.. Better have it check with a Kia dealer..

thanks po sa reply ang taas pala amp na kelangan na battery pang 3sm na po yata yun me question pa po ako san ba nakakabili ng gulong ng carnival parang hirap maghanap pwede po ba yung nasa bagong sorento tia

Kahit 3sm doesn't imply na 100 amps.. Better check mo mabuti ang specs ng battery.

Hindi pa ako bumibili ng gulong.
