Wow, grabe naman pala nakuha kung unit kung ganon, kc lahat ng dinescribe nyo e wala sa akin. as in no tow hook, no lumbar adjustment at single glove box lng. ok lng sana kung pinalitan ng airbag kaso hindi rin, as in driver side lng din ang may airbag. considering na EX pa unit ko. naka-stamp pa sa body na 2009 model sya. i got my unit last july 1. i actually asked the dealer sometime back pero sabi nila they can't do anything kasi CBU nga daw carnival ntin. so kung ano laman at itsura nya pagdating dito e yun na yun.actually yun ngang fri seat cover na binigay s akin may abang na butas sa gilid for the the lumbar adjustment lever but the lever is not there.

If it's any consolation bro, baka ang importante lang dyan yung glove box compartment (upper)... sarap kase pag dami mo lalagyan lalo na sa biyahe.

Tow hook? - baka di mo naman magamit yan within your car's lifetime (sana)

Lumbar support lever- I find the driver's seat comfortable already. Mind you I weigh a bit on the heavy side... di ko nga alam na may lumbar seat adjustment ang carnival natin.

But then again, these features should've been included in your car if it says on paper that they come in standard upon delivery. Mine is an EX LWB also. I'm guessing here but mine could be part of the new paratings. Why don't we ask the others in this forum?

mine was LX a/t LWB... lahat ng na mention was all there naman... freebies pa nga un 2 bulbs sa headlight with higher ratings! hehe... parang naka HID na rin...

mga bossing, model 08 ba yung mga carnival nyo? itinanong ko kc s kia pampanga at ang sabi nila even their other carnivals na dumating/ni-release this year daw e wala ding tow hook. nabanggit din ni teejae about "upper console box". do you mean yung dashboard mo ay may upper & lower na glove box? waahhh.... daya kung ganun kc yung akin lower lng meron. :dunno:

09 po.... got it last july 14... actually sa entire family, meron kami nun lumabas 07 tapos 08 (both SWB) then mine lang ang LWB.... nandun naman lahat na namention na wala...hehehe,... yep, bale dalawa yun glove box ko...

bigeebabee, WURTH ata yun brand tapos ginawang 100w.... parang ayaw ko nga sana papalitan nun una kc nga ang taas ng wattage, im worried over the warranty pero sabi nun owner ng casa, ok lang kc kaya daw yun at d daw ako mag worry sa warranty kc daw magkakilala naman kami! sya na daw bahala.... no probs naman as of today, mahigit 2 months na rin nakakabit at tried ko na rin straight 10 hours used un lights ko....

sharing my experience with my EX LWB this afternoon:

'Ey guys! I was cruising along SLEX this afternoon doing 140Kph when I felt an annoying vibration on my steering wheel when I stepped on the brakes... definitely NOT my ABS!

Rotors? I had a Mitsu Spacegear before... similar problem. Ang aga naman yata? But come to think of it, it's under warranty naman. I'm gonna have it checked tomorrow..

mine 25,000 km no problem with the rotor...every change oil linis brake pads and disc. so far so good...

I have the same problem. The front rotors were changed after 15,000 kms under warranty. Am now at 25,000km and the problem is back (noticeable when braking at speeds over 80kph). They tried to claim that the wheels needed alignment and balancing. (I go to Kia Alabang, and they have no alignment or balancing equipment.) I insisted that they replace the rotors, but what happens when the 3-year warranty period is up?

mines at 7t+ odo pero wala p naman ako na-notice na warping issue. hopefully it won't happen. 2x ko rin kc naging problema ito sa adventure ko dati kaya mas aware na ako ngayon. i always see to it na easy ako sa brakes. d ko binababad ang tapat, ala-"press then ease up" pra di mag-init ng husto. i've hit 170kph and so far very smooth p rin nman when i press d brakes. what i'm trying to see now is how long before kelangan magpalit ng pads.
on another note, may i ask kung ano ang full scope ng 10t pms and usually how much aabutin? tia.

Casa did some cleaning and measurements. I was told that the pads were just dirty and needed some TLC. It wasn't warped or anything according to them but I'm still not convinced. As I have mentioned previously, this happened to my Spacegear before...

Well, I'm gonna find out this Friday when I drive back to Subic...

That vibration you feel is your front disc rotors being warped. I've had mine relaced 3x (Three times!) under warranty. Its the quality of the rotors that they use. Its actually very disturbing. Hopefully the problem doesnt come back but I'm not too hopeful. I'll keep replacing the disc rotors until my warranty runs out. Its a common and known problem in the casa of Kia.


The car becomes very undrivable after a certain point in time (from 60 km/h onwards) when you press the brakes the steering wheel vibrates badly. FYI my 4 (four) rotors last between 5,000 and 7,000 km before they were replaced (original + 3 replacement front disc rotors). Grabe talaga. I hope they fix this or else they will lose a ton of money on warranty claims.

My take on this bro is that if your car is capabale of doing 170kph and perhaps even beyond 170kph, which I believe our carnivals are capable of doing, then, its rotors should be able to take the heat and punishment everytime we step on the brakes... sintido kumon lang diba?

I would even imagine that driving at 170kph, vibration felt should even be worse than what it felt like when I was doing 140kph with mine..

Hi guys, my folks wanted a SWB Carnival and it is very disturbing how Kia Dealers / Columbia are overpricing their goods.. Binasa ko yung thread na to (1 to 40) and it seems way overpriced na ngayon ang Carnival:

Here's the pricing June 2007

SWB LX MT 1.2m
SWB LX AT 1.275m
SWB EX AT 1.45m

LWB LX AT 1.4m
LWB EX AT 1.55m

Now fast forward Sept. 2009

SWB LX MT 1.45m (250k increase)
SWB LX AT 1.525m (250k increase)
SWB EX AT 1.625m (175k increase)

LWB LX AT 1.595m (195k increase)
LWB EX AT 1.695m (145k increase)

Grabe mag price increase ang Kia considering they are removing options / amenities / features. At the same time there will be a 2010 facelift.

I think it is not a good buy anymore but I really need a Mini-Van. Ano ba talaga ang justification nila for those hefty price increases?

Should I just buy a used 2007 Kia Carnival? Transferrable ba ang 3 year, 110k warranty para naman may warranty pa kami hanggang June 2010?

I think warranty is tranferrable.. If you can get a 07 carnival na sariwa pa.. why not...

mikmik316, its prices are inclusive of everything like the insurance and other fees... thus, you can still get it at a lesser price if you could negotiate with the dealer you are opt to... you can start from your choice of an insurance company that has lesser computation, then everything follows....

* softop - Subic ka pala pre? i'm plying the dinalupihan-sbma-olongapo almost daily. i don't see any carnival here so far other than mine (color Gold). A black carens is what I see daily though.

parang may nasty, sticky, can't remove staing/coating yung front windshield ko. difficult to drive through the rain. tried using rain x pero repellant lang pala sya not a stain remover so for a while ok pero saglit lng hirap na ulit ako mkita kalsada. any suggestions guys for glass detailing? remover-polisher-protector combination kit perhaps? maybe something that can also remove some water marks sa side windows. sinubukan ko na rin kc yung household window cleaner and one other brand (can't remember) na automotive glass cleaner but it did not work. i even tried a Polygloss Cut & Polish sa small part ng window glass ko (pang-body work). None of those i tried worked, not even a tiny bit.
