just recently lang bro... at least twice a week. I have projects with sbma. I don't normally drive the carnival because it's too big and I usually drive alone when I go there. We use the carnival pang out-of-town trips lang, sa mall, and sometimes to bring the kids to school. Mine is cherry kiss cocktail... here in the south area (alabang), madami dami na yata ang carnival owners.

parang may nasty, sticky, can't remove staing/coating yung front windshield ko. difficult to drive through the rain. tried using rain x pero repellant lang pala sya not a stain remover so for a while ok pero saglit lng hirap na ulit ako mkita kalsada. any suggestions guys for glass detailing? remover-polisher-protector combination kit perhaps? maybe something that can also remove some water marks sa side windows. sinubukan ko na rin kc yung household window cleaner and one other brand (can't remember) na automotive glass cleaner but it did not work. i even tried a Polygloss Cut & Polish sa small part ng window glass ko (pang-body work). None of those i tried worked, not even a tiny bit.

this was one of our topics yesterday... i had mine done "professionally" at a shop somewhere in ortigas- Wala din.(practically brand new pa ha?- with the same problem) One solution daw is to apply rain-x generously on your windshield and rinse it with car shampoo afterwards. Use crumpled newspaper to dry it... if you are desperate you might want to try this simple diy on your windshield.

btw, please share naman with us if it works.

I just wanted to share this experience. My unit was acquired in Jan 2008 and has 25Tkm on the clock. Last month, the bulb of the low beam headlight on the passenger side burned out. (I've had a number of cars over the years, but this is the first time a headlight bulb has had to be replaced! Doesn't say very much about Kia quality.) I went to the casa to have it replaced, but was told bulbs were not covered by the warranty. It would cost about P800 for the bulb plus P200 for labour. I told them to stuff it where the sun doesn't shine.

I got a replacement bulb from my suking auto supply store for about P400 and replaced it myself. Last night, the bulb on the other side naman burned out, which proves that these bulbs do seem to have a limited lifespan. Having learned my earlier lesson, I will not bother going to the casa.

About a week after I got my carnival, I was surprised to find out that my foglamps weren't working. I called up the casa and found out that yes, the foglamps are standard accessories on EXs but no, it's not yet electrically installed and yes, you have to pay extra for installation. ???!!!

Initial quote was around P6k because my SA said they needed to install relays, connectors, etc. to make it work. I go: "Bro, ang mahal naman nyan. Baka naman pwede sa P1.5k na lang kase sabi naman sa brochure me foglamps naman talaga dapat..."

It only took him 5 minutes to decide. Most of the time it works for me... yun nga lang kelangan pa makiusap. My 2 cents...

    Bro,

I think you've been had. The fog lamps on the EX are standard and should be wired and working. Mine were. You should have elevated your complaint higher up.

Naku wag naman sana... there were four of us inside the casa that day all with the same problem. As I've said, it is a standard accessory that was factory installed in Korea but not (yet) wired -kinda weird 'no? Me foglamps pero di umiilaw. Hay Kia! Hehehe... I guess the newer ones are not wired like yours. Ang swerte mo pala bro. But yes, to some extent, you may say that we have been had.

How about the other EX LWB owners here? Did you have the same problem like mine?

I would suggest better call columbian motors.. May customer relation department sila..

as for d fog lamps, installed, wired, and active naman yung akin nung ilabas ko sa kasa.

oh btw, now i know why walang front tow hook na kasama sa tool bag yung EX ko. when I popped open yung maliit na takip na bilog sa front-right portion ng bumper, walang provision dun sa loob for screwing a tow hook. i just hope i won't need one ever, otherwise sakit sa ulo kung saan ko ipapahila.

Sa akin, nagloko ang left park light ko. ganun din hindi nila mahanap ang problem.. i'll bring it back next week to have it check.. Maybe you can share how they solve the problem.. baka pareho lang ang cause.

front right turn signal nawala sa akin dti. after nila mag-hook up ng laptop when they couldn't find any busted bulb, etc., they loop-checked the circuit based dun sa illustration na nasa laptop, then sabi nila nag-loose lng daw yung isa sa mga (delphi) plugs sa may relay box near the brake booster (hydrovac). so far every since nman e di na nagluko ulit. HTH.

btw, had my 10t pms last saturday. inabot ako ng P4,800+. mineral oil lng ginamit. ayaw nila either maglagay ng synthetic oil or magdala ng own oil. mavo-void daw warranty. what about other casas, ganon din kaya? nilalagay kc nila is mineral na 15w40. gusto ko sana e synthetic na 5w30 for more fuel efficiency. extreme kc masyado yung 15w40. sbi pa nila ala daw s recommended oil yung 5w30, e nung pinakita ko yung nakasulat s manual sbi ba nman "it's up to you kung gusto mo pero ma-void ang warranty dahil kia mineral oil dapat as per instruction ng planta." for all i know petron universal oil ang ginagamit nila, may tatak lang na kia. tapos gusto nila ko bentahan ng tiptop brand na oil additive, ngek. i wonder kung yun din ang instruction ng plant. d nga ko nagpalagay. 600 din yung isang lata. ang di ko pa maintindihan, sa manual is every 15t km (10t km for severe conditions) dapat ang pms sched, pero again sabi daw ng planta is every 5t km. ang labo, wala man lang tayong ready reference kung ano service menu every 5t. pera-pera lang ata usapan e.
