2007 Kia Carens [ARCHIVE]

Well ganyan talaga ang speed ng crdi engines with vgt coming from hyundai and kia. The fastest I got using my carens is around 210kph having a full load and the aircon was still on. The car was still so stable and you can't feel much of the adrenalin rush. The tach reading is almost 4k rpm. I think carens can go as fast as 230+ kph.

Jezz!!! the last fastest speed that i could only manage is 170kph, medyo kabado na ako . Stay safe guys!!!

230? eh ung Hyundai SF namin hanggang 220 kph lang ang Speedometer.
Sa Carens ba 220+?

Ung takbo ko non na 180 at 3500 RPM. kaya ko pang biritin (red line ni SF is at 4500RPM) kaso si misis pinipigilan na ko kaya bumuntot na lang ako sa Carens. Siguro, mga 100 meters ang agwat namin.

150 lang kaya ng dibdib ko. But most of the time, 100 - 120 lang ang speed ko.

The CARENS, same as the santa fe, has a 220Kph indicated speedo with a 4,500Rpm redline on the tach. I'm sure it would have no problems of reaching that speed, based on the feel of its available power.

Joyride and fun run at SCTex? Anyone?

Unfortunately, the '08 Carnival that I own peaked at 180Kph (SCTex) with load and wearing 20" rollers. How I wish it had a Variable Geometry Turbo as well... but am still perfectly happy with it.

the fastest i've got from my carens was 190 km/h * 3500 rpm. but i think kaya ng carens 220+ lalo na pag 6speed manual. sa youtube may nakita ako 220+ crdi din engine niya.

Dear Carens Owners:
Pasingit po, I wandered off from the Innova thread. Before I bought my innova last november, I was seriously considering the Carens (black ang gusto ng wife ko and we were very close to buying it) but then the higher ground clearance of the innova did it for me because I need it to haul my OFW parents' bagahe every December, not to mention our family's number. No regrets naman but it is nice to hear that the CARENS is doing very well. Given the chance and, of course BUDGET, I will gladly own a Carens. I actually test drove one and it feels very good.

Easy driving lang po!! Driving alone, 120kph is to fast na for me. Anyway, I understand that everybody gets the urge to speed up when the vehicle has the power to do so, and the adrenaline rush.....

So kwentong barbero lang pala ung 230+kph na kaya daw ng Carens (Local Release) kung hanggang 220 lang din naman ung Speedometer.

The Carens may be capable on 220 pero remember that your tires have speed rating. The stock ones have upto 180kph lang kaya di ko na pi-nush na lumagpas pa ng 180 ung SF ko.

As of the moment, it is also where my biker friends and I really exercise our bikes... easily hitting 200Kph cruising... and maxxing out at 300Kph for those with balls of steel! Sarap talaga!!!!!

lakas talaga ng carens, one time i had a chance encounter with a fort who tried to bully me on the highway...pinatulan ko, naiwan ko ung fort, a 3.0 at that nka 170kph-180kph din ung habulan..

nag palit ako ng stock tires ko sa dubshop timog, baka pwede mo sila tanong, alam ko bebenta din nila yun..pwede mo sila ma contact 413-3185 baka available pa yung gulong...

it was dark and raining hard one night I was at pasay road making a left turn to edsa, di ko napansin yung parang island dun I turned too soon and the driver side front tire sort of went over hard at that island.. ayun sumabog yun gulong. naisip ko baka may bakal dun na nakatusok or something pero pag tingin ko sa butas (well, its more of a big tear than a hole) e parang wala hindi naman natusok kasi sa loob galing yung tear.

nag complain ako sa signet. ipapadala daw sa hankook for investigation pero in the end hindi daw covered ng warranty. Napansin ko din parang manipis yung goma ng hankook at parang konti lang yung "thread" (di ko alam tawag, basta yung thread like thing na nasa loob nung rubber) hence parang madaling napunit.

As a remedy, our suking vulcanazing shop has several used tires for sale. I saw a goodyear tire that looks fresh. So far 6 months na at good pa. Hindi ko na pinalitan ng bago kasi I'll be upgrading to a new tires and wheels in a couple of months (still saving).
