200++ km/h is easy for the Carens... Either M/T or A/T, i have an all stock 1.5G Vios A/T which has supposed to have a top speed of 180 but I have driven it and topped at 196 km/h at Star Toll, Batangas.. I've also driven my Carens at 195 km/h with lots more to give... Don't believe in everything that is written in a spec sheet, they are just guides, not actual figures...

Sir snake888, I'm sorry for your inconvenience, but if you only tried to back read this thread you would see me posting my 200+ kph speed image in the previous post. If you want this to be accurate change the manual na lang. Because believe you and me I've tried reaching 210 kph about 3-4 times already. I'm a frequent user of sctex and our ride can do alot more than 210. if you can only see the image the 200+kph does not even reached the 4000 rm mark. and take note I have a full load wih aircon on. What more if I turned my aircon off. If its only 190 kph your talking about it is just a breeze for our ride. That is why I've tried to reach 200 because when I got to see my instrument panel I was already doin 180+ kph so what the heck I got my Cellphone and took some shots of my instrument panel doing 200+ kph. And yes the ride is still stable. Unlike with my innova I can't even get it above 150.

From the specs and even the reviews around the world, the top speed of Kia Carens whether 5 speed or 6 speed M/T is only up to 190kph...

Even the Fortuner 3.0L with 163hp is only getting 180kph max speed. I tried this one already. For Carens, with its smaller body, I can only believe that it will reach 190kph considering 6 speed M/T with 140hp.

I had my 15t km pms performed at kia congressional yesterday. look for ferdinand, they are acomodating especially their lady manager,I forgot to get her name.Right now they have a promo , it will cost you Ps 1499 for the 6 liters oil. oil filter including labor.and yet their oil come from a 1 liter container originally packed unlike other casa , it came from a big drum than transfer to a plastic container.

Wow! 200?! 190?! Extreme! I wonder if my Sportage can get to that speed. I got two friends that have the automatic version of the carens, I'll show them the pics.

a purely stock carens can manage 200kph+, go over the previous pages and see for yourself a carens at 200kph with six adults on board paging sir schumi

IMO, manufacturer's specs are not always accurate, you simply cannot take it hook, line,and sinker. To erase the doubts that you have, take a carens for a spin..peace bro

On a different note, a carens will smoke a fortuner 3.0 anytime on the highway. I have proven this not once but twice, with modesty aside.

That settles it! I'm getting a Carens for my next ride!!!

Better think fast because CAC is such an A** they keep downgrading the accessories of our beloved carens. But keeps on increasing the price. Other manufacturers adds accessories and features but CAC removes features and accessories.

The first batch has a key illuminator, rear lamp and etc. etc.

second batch dami nilang tinanggal na minor items lang. But you can still live with the items they removed from the first batch of carens. after few months CAC implemented a huge price increase.

Then comes this newest batch of carens where I think really sucks. They remove the cover of all rear compartments. Change the second row seat to a one piece seat and can no longer be tumbled nor can be fold flat. They also removed the second row ashtray together with the cupholders. For the ex models they change the roof rack with a low cost one.

From value for money to s*ck*r. CAC makes me sick.
