    fyi.
Thanks. Mukhang okey din sila. When I went there last time (before I got my Carens), very accomodating si Mr. Allan Basco. I think that reflects the kind of expected service na kaya nilang ibigay.Anong deal ang nakuha mo sir? Free labor ba?

i had my PMS at Kia San Fernando, 1st PMS labor was free though it was only 2.5k km, babalik ako sa 5k, nabatak kasi ng husto sa SCTEX at NLEX kaya pinasok ko na kagad at 2.5k

Logo #1 (refined version without headrest) for the shirt and Logo #3 V2 (rounded edges) for the car sticker for me!

Hi guys, it's been a long time!!! Mukhang madaming nangyari na since I last logged on... just had my 10,000km check-up last Saturday at Kia Pasig - they changed my oil, oil filter, air filter and aircon filter, and also cleaned my brakes. It drives like a dream!

Too bad I wasnt able to attend the EB but just like Mari, my weekdays are so busy with work and then my weekends are completely dedicated to my family... it's really hard for me to get out of that.... But, will try my best to attend the next time there's an EB.

good day to all carens owners.

I had my carens' first PMS while it had around 3800 in the odometer. Anyway, they changed the oil (that came from a drum branded kia), oil filter, aircon filter and brake cleaning.

Before the PMS, i was quite happy averaging about 11.5 km/l city driving. BTW here at Legazpi City, traffic is non-existent. However, after the PMS, my km/liter drastically went down to about a 9 km/l average city driving. Its been about a month since the PMS and my fuel mileage has remained constantly low. This was quite distressing because I had even hoped to improve my fuel mileage but instead got the opposite.

Anybody experienced this after their PMS? I dont think the oil they used is of good quality.
I plan on bringing my own oil (castrol) for my next change oil and hopefully my fuel mileage improves though. What do you think.

I think the oil has something to do. I have experienced that synthetic oils give better mileage than ordinary ones.

just like to share my FC for our carens CRDi M/T travelled from las pinas to los banos back and forth and some side trips of 20kms (city), total of 132km, with the usual traffic at SLEX and Los banos and las pinas using only 500 pesos worth of diesel (10.6Liters of diesel) FC is around 12.4 kms/liter... normal driving mode shifting at 2,000 RPM with fastest speed at 120kph attained at SLEX and some BOOST (which i can't resist from time to time).. our ODO reading is only at 1,400 kms

Last Oct 19 at SCTEx going to Subic at around 8AM, I was driving my Santa Fe with my Family and my wife's officemates. There were 5 adults in our car including myself.

I was cruising at 130kph when a Black Carens CRDi suddenly flashed from behind and overtook me as if my car is parked. Curious on the Carens' speed, hinabol ko sya and it took me a few minutes to keep my pace with the Carens. Nasa 180 na ako when I was able to maintain the pace. Oh boy, never thought a Carens is capable at this speed. Di ko sya pinilit i-overtake. Binuntutan ko lang sya hanggang umexit sya sa Dinalupihan.

Bilis ni Carens. Kaya ko naman syang i-overtake kaso kasama ko lang family ko eh. At 180kph, my Santa Fe is at 3500RPM pa lang.

The KIA CARENS and the Hyundai Santa Fe both employ Variable Geometry Turbos (VGT) on their CRDi engines. Hence, the amazing power! On hindsight however, even if the Santa Fe has a higher displacement; the Carens might outrun it based on their power-to-weight ratio. Should be fun to find out the real score though between the two cousins...

Well ganyan talaga ang speed ng crdi engines with vgt coming from hyundai and kia. The fastest I got using my carens is around 210kph having a full load and the aircon was still on. The car was still so stable and you can't feel much of the adrenalin rush. The tach reading is almost 4k rpm. I think carens can go as fast as 230+ kph.
