June 18th, 2007 08:59 PM #191Iris Violet?
Kasi yun LX at EX different is only the roof rail at keyless entry?
How about FC?

I was comparing the curb weight of the new Carens, Sedona and Starex, and I found that the Carens is even heavier than the relatively larger Starex!
Here are the curb weight figures for reference. I don't know if this is just a typo. Got the figures from the motioncars website:
Carens CRDI MT - 1692 kg
Starex CRDI MT - 1620 kg
Sedona SWB CRDI MT - 2093 kg

Hindi typo yang sa Carens. I'm holding the brochure now. Curb weight for the LX M/T is 1692kg, and 1,716kg for the A/T models (LX & EX).

The Starex did benefit from Mitsubishi engineering.

Parang mas solid yung structure in other words mas bakal ang Carens kesa sa Innova.

June 19th, 2007 12:08 AM #197Hello guys!
I was able to test drive a Carens last saturday. Yung na test drive ko was the CVVT LX/AT. Honestly, before super skeptical ang family ko pag Kia ang brand pero this time it erased the KIA stigma in our minds! Ang galing talaga. The ride was smooth! The interior & exterior designs tinalo ang Adventure namin. It's an MPV w/ a SUV style. Tipong " living room style " na MPV. May Black din akong nakita sa mall. Very striking din ang appeal. Sa Cebu mataas ang sales ng Carens!

i have to agree with you Tatra, the Starex eased off our stigma with korean cars based on its very wonderful CRDi engine and for almost three years now, not a single problem with it (suspension, engine, body, "kalampag"-free) that korean cars are known for in the past but my CRDi Carens takes the cake and really shows how good they are at what they do. hoping that this would be an uptrend for korean car brands in the coming years.
off topic lang mga sirs, on the average, how much would it cost me now to get a set of 4-18" rims with 235/50 tires? some like this? thanks!

Hyundai and Kia cars are nicely built nowadays bec. they have one unified labor country to construct them. unlike in japan na iba iba ang mayari ng brands, therefore iba-iba ang management.
yan ang advantage na nakikita ko sa Korea in the next years to come. they may beat Japanese cars sooner than we think.
