Sir, might I suggest a BRC or Subic Int'l raceway track day if you want to go at that speed. Hindi masyado matao sa Star tollway but the roads are quite uneven (Naaawa nga ako sa car pag lagpas 110 ang takbo eh. Sama ng tunog.)and there are plenty of road hazards pa din.

June 28th, 2007 08:25 AM #212I've try star tollway once. Mas maganda nga sya tumakbo. Pero pag over 150kmh na. mukha pa rin d sya safe.
So I just leave the high speed 200+khm to the real racing car driver. nood na lang ako pwede na.

You can't hit 200 km/h on the subic raceway or batangas... not unless you've got a supercar or a high powered sports car. Most of us can just about twig 160 - 170 km/h at the end of the main straight at BRC (on street tires, mind you... racing slicks would give you enough traction through the sweeper before the straight to carry more momentum through).
STAR is very bumpy. Unless you have a well-sorted car, it's not suited to high speed antics. The SLEX is worse.
The Skyway gives a smooth enough and wide enough road on the northbound side for hitting 200+ km/h speeds both before and after the gates. But it's uphill. Southbound is just a mess.
The NLEX is the easiest place to do it. There are unregulated stretches before Balintawak. You can do it on the NLEX per se, as there are long stretches where you can drive flat out, as they're smooth as marble.
And if you're lucky, you can get confirmation of your top speed off their radar gun as they write your ticket.

Briefly looked at the Carens on display at Trinoma. It uses a space saver spare tire pala. And if you get a flat, you are supposed to carry the flattened tire on the compartment behind the third row seats. It will fit standing up and Kia provides a detailed diagram of how you will use the provided straps to hold the tire in place as you rush to the nearest service station. hehehe. Kaya lang madudumihan ang interior.
At least you won't look like a pregnant cow the way Chevy tells later-model Corvette owners to still use the underbody carrier to carry the wide Corvette tires. hehehe.
