They just rely on the obvious. Then in the end, napaka simple lang pala na part ang nagko cause ng sound or nung problem and ung mga pinalitan na parts ay hindi naman pala related sa problem.

Ano ang nafifeel mo, sir, while you are driving your truck based on their claim that you need to replace that part that holds the tie rod end?
Parang mat tug tug sound on uneven roads, specially yung parang hagdanhagdang palayan style ng lubak. Aside from that wala naman.

Major sira palang namin was ung scv. (knock on wood) It stalled us a couple of times, but she managed to start again after a few minutes, 5-8 minutes tops, and shes running again.

Re oils, havent used a fully synthetic oil, just semi-synthetic and mineral oil. May kamahalan eh, and hinde naman masyado gamitin ung pick up, we just make it a habit to change it every 5000kms or twice a year.

Ang balak ko next is install a catch can, and block the egr, pero the latter im still undecided. Though recommended yun to avoid soot forming sa intake manifold. So far so good nman si dmax. Mukhang magtatagal pa for some time.

Re tires, im contemplating din on changing them to a bigger 265/255? boondock tires. Anyone who changed theirs? Are there any ill effects like faster wear and tear, lower fuel consumption? I think imo wala naman siguro coz they made that oem on boondock ed and not just aftermarket add on.

    Any inputs are highly appreciated.

Technical yung explanation niya but what I can recall was the pressure something. That's why ever since, I use a better oil and never a mineral oil.

The SCV, the engine will really die once the CEL shows up on your dash. But if you restart it, aandar naman yan. Unlike pag EGR, CEL will also show up on your dash pero hindi mamatay ang engine rather, you will feel that the engine is choking, sluggish, rough and clatter-y.

As to the tires, I am not really sure pero the bigger the tires, the higher the FC.

It's up to you kung magkano ang budget mo and willing kang gumastos ng mahal.

Punta ka sa Engine and Fuel System Talk section ng Tsikot then look for the Mineral, semi synthetic and fully synthetic? thread.

As for me, I have used Royal Purple oil and what I have in my engine right now is Motul CRDI Specific. Mas gusto ko ang performance and di hamak na way cheaper than what Isuzu dealership offers.

For fuel filter, I have no idea.

Try backreading that about engine oil thread and baka makakita ka ng distributor diyan ng gusto mong oil.

Pero may magagandang oil din naman aside from RP and Motul. Try Mobil 1 or you mga engine oils ng Caltex and Shell.

Has anyone here tried or has been using Seaoil lately? I have been using Unioil for the longest time, although I have tried Seaoil's diesel with STP before and I have used Seaoil before knowing that Unioil has been offering Euro IV diesel. Last time I filled up in Seaoil, parang ang tapang ng makina and grabe ang vibration. So next gas up, I went with Unioil again, kuminis ulit. I don't know if I just got a bad batch of fuel in Seaoil pero mas gusto ko na ang performance ng Dmax ko sa Unioil.

    Update: 2014 Isuzu D-Max 4JK1-TC 2.5-liter LT, 4x2 MT

Total odometer reading = 1,186 kms

After mixed city-expressway routes, 2x tagaytay, 1x subic, average highway speed 90-100 kph, max: 130kph (few seconds) - blinking fuel indicators:

    Total distance traveled:
    867 kms / 72 liters = ~12 km/l

Acceptable ba? I'm hoping it will improve. Thank you.

*Dmax2014LT: Acceptable na yan, sir. Maybe yes, maybe no kung mag iimprove, I am not sure.

Based on my experience, kaso 2008 4x2 MT LS ung akin, noong bago pa siya, the most that I got was more than 1k kms in one full tank. Yun ung naglalaro lang ako between 80 to 100 kph. Pero never ko ng nagawa ulit. Pinaka konti kong nagawa was about 400 kms in 1 full tank kasi puro hataw ang ginawa ko.

Ngayon nasa 10.9 kms/liter nalang. Un ung naka register sa dash.

Sa city driving, my usual full tank is about 1,800 to 1900 pesos and it would run about 550 to 600 kms.

*R.Paul: May times na madami akong nakikitang all new Dmax, may times din na bihira. Kaso wala pang owner ng all new Dmax ang nagpopost dito.

Pero kung titignan mo, sir, since yung dating engine lang din ang nilagay nila and if ever may konting tweaking lang na ginawa, most likely kung ano ang nai experience ng mga owners ng previous Dmax, ganyan din ung sa bago.

Share ko lang yon experience ko sa new body dmax.. so far I am satisfied with the handling, performance, stability, riding comfort and fuel consumption. The maximum FC I got was around 13km/l combination of city and long drive but that was less than 1500km.

Meron ako napansin sa number of liters na nilalagay sa engine, isuzu told me that its around 8liter. but when I measure the dip stick, the oil level was around 3 inch above the maximum level. I ask isuzu to check the oil level and they told me that its too high even after the engine started. so I advice them to remove some oil.

I wanted to ask from you guys if how much number of liters are you putting in your engine?

*jraf_zams2: I don't know with the all new Dmax, sir, but spending 15k for 1.5k km PMS!?! That is absurd! Bakit kailangan nilang palitan lahat ng oil, brand new yan and 1.5k kms palang ang natakbo? I checked my receipt, nasa 3.5k lang ang nagastos ko noon, way back 2008. 1 gallon of mineral oil, 2 liters of mineral and oil filter lang. And meron pa sila noon na free ang labor for 1.5k kms and 5k kms PMS. I am not sure kung meron pa sila niyan until now. 10k kms ay 5,643.29 coz they replaced the fuel filter pero same na 2 gallons of mineral oil and oil filter.

If I were you, I will start calling that dealership and ask for an explanation.

Or baka naman you measured your engine oil right after killing the engine, syempre nag circulate na un kaya matataas. The best time to check it is before starting the engine or if you have started the engine, let it rest first before checking. Mga 2 to 3 mins siguro.

Di bale yon sa last container nyo sir, nasa anong level ng dip stick yon pagnag measure 2-3min after nyo shutoff yon engine?

Tignan niyo, sir, ung service booklet niyo. Kung same lang tayo ng layout, ung mga about 6 to 7 pages before the last page, andoon nakalagay ung service na gagawin sa truck natin every PMS. Naka itemized and indicate din doon kung Replace, Inspect, Tighten, etc. Usually yang 1.5k and 5k kms, puro I lang ang nakalagay kasi karamihan Inspection lang ang gagawin nila. Oil and Oil Filter lang ang R which means replace.

On the oil, ang level ng oil ko is on the max level, ung tamang tama lang. Pag nagpapa change oil kasi ako, after the 7th container, ung pang 8th, tinatancha nalang ng mechanic. Kada buhos, titignan hanggang umabot sa max level. Siguro tamad ung mechanic na nag change oil sa truck mo, binuhos na lahat ung 8 containers or 2 gallons and bahala na si Batman kung mahuli or hindi. Sisirain nila yang truck mo, sir.hehe
