.... One time nga i saw that the bottom seal (red tag) of the ECU is cut after casa maintenance, and when i asked any of them why they seemed to have touched or adjusted something in the ECU, no one gave explanation. Sometimes we do not know what the casa does since the do PMS away from our prying eyes ;)
Going back sir, that 3rd-gear mode is to hold it longer along the rev range when you press it, as Unk Nick said it. Sa mga iba mga 2nd button press instead of 3rd.
But i'm no auto-tranny fan sa totoo lang sir, napapansin ko lang mga ito from some of those that i've used. Always been a manual person and will always be even when your (at ako) much-awaited DMax VGS arrives haha!

sir matanong ko lang kung ano PMS mileage ginawa? meron ka b itemized list sa mga parts? just PM me sir.. the fuel filter for one is expensive narin... hehehehe... nasa 1k ata yan sa mdax crdi units..
power button is for giving that extra umph to your car, good for overtaking, shifting is matagal nga and the 3rd start button allows you to run your car from standstill using the 3rd gear directly...

actually kakabili ko(or i should say we) lng nitong dmax nato sa family friend namin..nasa 81,000 + kilometers na ang mileage nya. Model 2008 LS automatic trans. Sa katunayan mga bossing, nag-share lang ako ng almost 150k pesos sa erpat ko kasi matagal tagal ko na ding nasasabi na gusto ko magka-sasakyan.sakto naman binebenta nun ang 2 sasakyan nya, isang Dmax tsaka yung isa ay Ford EVEREST na mas bago pa siguro ng 1 year. My dad being a long time truck/bus/pickup enthusiast(actually buong angkan nila) suggest that it would be a good deal getting the Dmax. Sabi nga niya sayang daw yun kasi bago pa and kilala naman namin yung nagbebenta(regular PMS and kilalang maalaga sa sasakyan). Nakuha namin sya ng 700K pesos(mukang kelangan daw kasi ng pera).Anyway, kelangan pa din naming pa-PMS sa casa para no worries na sa condition ng pickup. Hope this list will help you:

Also, my erpats ride is a model 2008 Toyota Fortuner but brand new nya binili naman yun. Sabi nya mas matipid daw Isuzu Dmax sa diesel. Bukod pa sa 3 liter engine pa sya, eh yung 4tuner eh 2.5liter lang ata.
*sir benz, sana nga sir manual na lang din yung nabili namin kaso no choice eh..automatic yung binebenta samin. ako din kasi mas gusto ko manual mas matipid kasi kesa sa auto tranny. Pero kung darating man ung Isuzu Dmax VGS TCX engine, kahit ano ok lang, basta ilabas nila yan dito sa Phils!!!!!!

Kapag nag-engine light try mo magpark sa gilid ng daan.. Subukan mong i-off ang engine and wait for 5-10minutes then start mo ulit to check kung nawala ang Engine Light.. Kung nawala "good" kapag meron pa din ang Engine Light, try mo rebolusyunan.. Kapag umabot ng more than 3k-4k rpm "good".. Subukan mo ulit patakbuhin kahit naka-engine light.. Kapag humahatak yan at lumalampas sa 2k rpm.. Ibig sabihin ang tama SCV.. Either palinisan mo or Palitan mo(since 2005 model Dmax mo pwede palinisan.. Yung bago daw replacement na daw agad eh).. Kapag naman Steady ang Engine Light at hindi makatakbo ang OTO mo or matagal ang arangkada.. Ibig sabihin EGR ang Tama.. Base ito sa Experience ko.. Pero the Best pa din, kapag naka-engine light idiretso mo na sa CASA habang naka-ilaw pa tapos ipa-Tech 2 mo para makita ang problema.. Hindi na kasi madetect ng Tech 2 ang problema kung wala na yung Engine light..

September 28th, 2011 05:19 PM #818nagtanong nga pala ako sa isang sales rep ng isuzu, nakita ko lang yung mga profile nya sa sulit tsaka internet, tinext ko sya kung ilalabas nila for 2012 yung vgs turbo for dmax, sabi nya hindi pa daw. same engine 4jj1 pa din. Bad news
anyway, lets just hope na hindi tlaga nya alam yung info kung ilalabas ba sya or hindi.
kung sa bagay, baka strategy lang niya yun para bumili na agad yung bibili ng dmax 2011.

September 29th, 2011 05:40 PM #819In the meantime sir while you're waiting for the DMax VGS Turbo, kung ibibigay man ng Isuzu sa ating Noypi, salpakan mo na muna ng Racechip Pro ang DMax 3.0 Ddi-iTEQ auto-tranny mo sir.... Dito palang masisiyahan ka na, not only with the power you gain but also with the improved fuel-efficiency.
Kahit nasa lower-low B-C combination ka lang sa dalawang dials, or B-E gaya ko at the moment, ramdam na ramdam mo na ang hatak at liksi ng hinDMaxsiado natin. One guy i know of is set at B-0 (zero) and he raves about it. Some Isuzu owners are even at C-E combination and above....
Just call Mike-the-Man at 09178611413 for specifics or Jedi of Tsikot at 09053338777. As mentioned, Mike is an Isuzu boy; his Alterra was equipped with a Racechip Pro previously, and he's now using a more improved one for experimental use, also from Racechip Germany. This one is not yet out for the public until tests have been concluded to the satisfaction of the manufacturer. The current Racechip Pro would cost you only PhP24,000, the cheapest in the market that gives you arguably the best results.
Guranteed, it's like falling in love the second-time-around with your DMax ;)
