Mga sir ano ano ba ang dapat tignan/gawin bago mag first PMS? Bukas kasi pupunta pa service. Ngayon tinesting na sa nlex papuntang pampanga. BTW, automatic saka 2012 dmax to. hehe.

Just go to your dealership, bring your booklet and tell them that you will have your 1st PMS, which I believe is the 1.5k km checkup. Alam na nila ang gagawin diyan.

YUP sir, naka-Flex ride kasi mga D-max ngaun after 2011, at baka updated lalo ang sa all-new D-max (except the engine for all we know sa Pinas-issue hehe ;) ) ....Hindi na dapat matagtag (sana hehe).

Mas maganda panigurado damping ng bago din na Isuzu MU-X SUV.... Coil springs mated to a five (5) multi-link suspension sa rear side.

Well for now, keep-sake ko nalang muna si lumang 2008 D-max ko tutal satisfied naman ako sa power and overall.... And you're absolutely right, precise at planted ang handling ng D-max (both on cornering and straight-line stability at speeds) maging mga Kiwis at Aussies na kasama ko dito nagsasabi niyan, kahit pa yung lumang "hood-scoop" model precise na precise kaysa sa Toyota at Triton. Tawag nila sa Triton (Strada sa atin), too curvy at too slopey daw ang design harhar!

Baka pang retirement car nalang pag-ipunan ko, maybe it will be the Landcruiser Series 76 na old-style lang (4.2-litre 6-inline or 4.5 litre V8, both diesel variant) o Land Rover Defender 90 (2.2-litre turbo diesel intercooled) hehe.... Nananaginip ng gising ahihi .... Hindi na muna D-max or MU-X kung hindi ibibigay sa Pinas ang bagong makina

YUP sir mga big displacement 4-stroke engines mga Harley na maugong kahit sa low revs hehe, i can only imagine sir ....They grumble sa road at takaw pansin hehe ;)

Tama ka chief, hindi na kakayanin ng bewang say 20 to 25 years from now panigurado at tuhod hehe.... Pansin ko na rin yan mahina na rin ahoho ....Bumalik pa sa paninigarilyo tsk tsk tsk, aywan ko ba.... nag lay-low na rin sa offroad on 2-wheels, sopo-sopo nalang....

*vince2929: Tanong mo sir, sa Isuzu dealership mo kung pumapayag sila. In Isuzu dealerships that I have been, Q. Ave and Commonwealth, they don't allow.

Kaya ako I go to Speedyfix for change oil then bring it to Isuzu Commownealth for the rest of the PMS.


*d_mac: Oo sir, grabe ang grumble nung Harley niya. Mapapalingon ka talaga kung ano un kahit blip lang ang ginagawa niya.

One time while I was on EDSA approaching Ortigas flyover, may group ng mga Harley riders siguro un, not sure kung Mad Dog, naka double file sila sa isang lane, 2 bikes per lane, maayos sila mag maneho pero talaga namang umaalog ung road sa tunog ng bikes nila. Mga 12 or more riders ata un. Wala ngang gustong sumingit sa kanila maski bus, biglang napapakabig. Puro ba naman naka leather and andaming tattoo.hehe

My dad bought a new isuzu dmax ls 4x2 mt this december and the agent keeps telling us to purchase the bedliner that worth 9k. We arent prepared for that transaction so that we dont buy the bedliner. On our way home i read the receipt on the comparment and notice that the bedliner was one of the free items on dmax. My dad immediately call the agent and told about the free bedliner but the agent keeps telling us it wasnt free and must be purchase worth 9k!! We plan to visit the gencars in sto tomas batangas this week to clarify everthing. Guys pls advice us what to do thanks!

Hi sir, mas matanda si hinDMAXsiado ko pala chief, more than 2 months nalang to go ako for her ahihi at graduate na sa dating elementary years harhar! ....Hanggang Grade 7 na ba ngaun sa Pinas, at Junior High(school) ang tawag dito?

Around 87,300 km current mileage ko for this unit. Di gaano nagagamit. Wala din naman problem itong 2008 D-max 4JJ1-TC standard. Major replacement ko lang is lahat ng shocks niya ay Bilstein HD and it's because only by choice, although may leak yung isang stock shock sa harap bago ako magpalit. Sariwa pa makina, walang bukas, so orig lahat. Nagdagdag lang ako ng plug-and-play Racechip Pro 2 noong 2011 pa. Yung EGR naman at suction valve, libre palit naman ng Isuzu as tinimbre naman sa akin during the warranty period. Ball joint pala nagpalit din ako sabay sila ng shocks at pina-wheel balance at align ko lang.... Makina, hindi naman maingay at hindi din mausok.... Sarap humatak ahihi

Oo nga pala, may bungo sa rear bumper noong 2010 (binunggo ako ng taxi at around 12:00 midnight along EDSA dahil inaantok daw siya) ---- wasak harapan ng Corolla unit niya at ako pa nagbigay ng PhP1,000 sa kanya kasi hindi daw siya kikita sa gabing iyon at tanggal na sa trabajo nang pinagalitan siya ng amo niya the moment he called him para ma-rescue taxi niya ahay! Naawa lang ako tuloy mukhang tuliro ang mama....
....Burihin mo naman tumama sa rear bumper ng D-max - eh bakal na naka-brace pa sa chassis ito at may isang cross member in tandem sa isang Y-brace na cross member na nakadikit sa cosmetic bumper ng nito kaya ubod ng tibay. Mas matibay pa bumper ng D-max kaysa Hilux rear bumper at sa kahit alin man na local pickup diyan.... Gumaya nalang ang Colorado pero ewan ko kung naka Y-brace pati ang rearmost cross-member nila compared sa D-max na luma natin

Nabenta na pala lumang 2004 D-max 4JH1-TC namin hehe ;)

Kahit alin mang Isuzu service centre chief the best pagdating sa Isuzu wika nga harhar!

Kung ayaw mo na mag-Isuzu in some items like what i do, i go sa Shell sometimes for a change oil. For repairs naman basta hindi makina ang involve, punta ako sa Rapide. By 1st hand experience lahat naman sila ay reputable chief Cooljay. Anything sa suspension, and perhaps when i decide to increase the size of the D-max intercooler, i go to Speedlab. Anthing basta hindi internals ng makina and within reasons hindi sa Isuzu ko papagawa kung naghahanap ako ng medyo mura, though Speedlab, for example is not cheap ahihi

Ano ang primary concern mo sa D-max mo todate baka kaya naman ng Rapide na yan. Kung anything naman na underchassis concerns mo, punta ka nalang muna sa Rapide.

Goodluck at cheers chief. Sigurado marami pang may suggestions ang ibang D-max'ers, which are better than where i go. Consider them all chief then kindly share to us what you found out as a comparo chief hehe ;)

Di ko kabisado chief LionheartBisdak anong the best brand ng rad coolant. Sa D-max naman sa service centre na ng Isuzu galing ang rad coolant ko by default ahihi ;) ....Re the aftermarket brand na Fleetguard di ko kabisado naman sir compared sa stock issue natin na fuel at oil filters.

Point of comparo lang chief: Sa dirt bike (this is gasoline-fed) ko naman na malimit ma-abuse sa trails, basta rule of thumb ko is the engine MUST run as "cool as possible". Prestone concentrate ang gamit ko na coolant (yung usual lang na ethylene glycol base coolant na long-life anti-rust at anti-boil) at a ratio 65% coolant 35% distilled water na-premix muna. Tapos ang 2-stroke premix oil ko is the 3x film strength na ester-base Motul 800 2T offroad na fully-synth. Air filter ko is Twin-Air at laging malinis sir. Ang gasolina ko is any high-octane Petron Blaze or Shell V-Power dahil medyo mataas ang compression ratio ng makina. Lahat ng yan contributes to a relatively cooler running engine na hindi lahat ay iniaasa lamang sa coolant lang chief.

Sa D-max ko naman chief, i use the usual coolant ng Isuzu, high-cetane diesel fuel (Petron Turbo Diesel or Shell V-Power Diesel), clean air filter (nagpapalit ako kagad anywhere every 5,000 km to 10,000 km), not so high rail pressure setting dahil may Racechip Pro 2 chip na naka lagay sa commonrail ko, at dahil na din wala pa ako 3-inch diameter downpipe to cater for high-power setting, therefore high rail pressure setting. Usual engine oil ko is fully-synthetic Mobil 1 Delvac 5W-40. Kulang nalang diyan para mas mag-improve pa lalo to run relatively cooler ang makina is a bigger intercooling system, 3-inch downpipe in case i decide on high-power setting, and any reputable aftermarket free-flow air filters.
....Again chief, hindi lahat ay inaasa sa radiator coolant.

By the way chief, you may ask the Isuzu guys how they apply ang coolant sa radiator. Do they drain out completely, do flushing at need, then add the full amount or are they just topping up? Also , tanong mo na rin sir if coolant nila is a concentrate or a factory pre-made 50/50 diluted coolant

I used the isuzu rad coolant by default as well but regarding fuel filter i bought the after market Fleetgard filter because of its good quality element inside. it uses the nanonet fabrique which is commonly used in hi sensitive marine engines because it filtrates even to the smallest particles that an ordinary filter can not do. since our diesel fuel here in our country is not that clean compared to other countries so, i decided to use this Fleetgard as i have also convinced from Cummins engine Tech person that it is one of the better products worldwide.

and the result is medyo feel ko agad ang improvement ng performance ng dmax engine ko...

Good to know na wala namang problema ang Dmax mo up to now. Ganyan ata itong truck natin, the more it rakes mileage, the better it gets. Kumbaga, tumatanda siya gracefully.

Naaliw nga ako kasi kahit hindi siya sprinter, nakaka habol. Hindi tulad nung mga ibang diesel engines, lalo ung mga luma, akala mo antutulin sa umpisa pero pagdating ng 100 kph, parang pugon na kung magpa usok.hehe Parang hindi na sila umaandar pagdating ng 100 to 120.

Nangyari sakin nung may mga "feeling VIP" convoy ng mga L300 na brand new and yung wala pa ung sa likod nila. Parang mga fire flies na naka hazard pa. Ang kuk*pal mag maneho, wala paki sa singitan. Ung isa naipit sa red light and ako ung nasa front niya, akalain mo bang pagka green, talaga todo busina na na akala mo mortal sin ung hindi pagkilos agad considering kaka green pa lang. Alam ko ang capability ng Dmax and hindi ko kailangan mag effort para humabol ng L300. So inunahan niya ako effortlessly, sabi ko nalang na tignan ko nga ang tulin mo. Pagdating ng mga 100, parang pugon na kaka downshift samantalang ako steady sa 5th lang na walang effort habang papalapit na ng papalapit.hehe. Halos magkabangga bangga na siya kakasingit at para makalayo siya kaso nakabuntot lang ako sa kanya. Akala niya purkit brand new ung kanya at walang likod, feeling niya sports car na dala niya. Gusto ko din sanang babaran ng busina kaso tama na ung nakabuntot lang. Inaantay ko na nga lang maibangga niya ung van at ng magbayad siya ng di oras.

Yan ang gusto ko sa engine ng Dmax, ramdam mo ang hatak sa lahat ng gears lalo sa low gears. Alam mo kaagad na gumagana ang torque kasi ung 2k rpm, more than enough na. Un nga lang, pag bilis sa takbuhan sa umpisa ang hanap mo, talo talaga siya. Kaso pag naka bwelo na, hanggang 175 na siya tatakbo.

Sa mga shocks ko naman, ok pa naman lahat ung akin. Mga bushings lang ang napalitan sa akin. Siguro sa next service niya, ung drive belt na ang papalitan and brake pads or baka linis lang kasi may squeaking noise lalo sa umaga. Tindi ng brakes nito, nung Sept. '12 pa ako last na nagpalit.
