my dad just told us during our family meeting last night that he will buy the mid-spec CVX grand starex on april as the replacement for our now gas guzzling x-trail.. he saw the grand starex display during the PIMS and he likes it... kahit gaano daw kamahal ok lang sa kanya... carpool naming magkakapatid eh... at least ito makakalusong sa baha ng espana pagpasok ko sa uste kesa x-trail namin na muntik nang pasukin ng tubig sa may bandang maria clara nung pauwi na ako...

1.8M for the HVX is fine, considering its features.

My uncle paid 1.9M for his Grandia. I'm sure he'll buy this too to replace his 2000 Starex TDIC . His Grandias only last 3years before he sells because the starex is the family favorite.

Buying in grey market saves you a lot - initially. That is if nothing major fails. If something does, you're screwed.

1.9M for a Super Grandia??That's too much considering na mukha tong box na ambulance..

Anyway mas ok parin ang Grand Starex kahit ganyan ang price nya..Walang SWB version nito dahil wala naman point para gumawa pa nyan..

HARI's Grand Starex brochure says 4 models : an A/T and M/T na 2.5L TCI SOHC 8V with 101 HP and 23 kg-m (225 NM) torque. And an A/T and M/T na 2.5L CRDi VGT DOHC 16V with 174 HP and 40 kg-m (392 NM) torque. Both have a wheelbase of 3200 mm. Kaya lang, it also says that seating capacity can be either 9 or 12 seater. So siguro nga yung sinasabi nilang 'SWB' e actually the same model pero tinanggal lang ang 4th row of seats para maging 9 seater.

I saw the Grand Starex sa CAMPI autoshow. Is that the one for local consumption? Mas impressed kasi ako sa unit ng Standout, masi dami features kahit base model may sliding side windows na wala sa local unit and mas mura pa!

actually, kahit din sa brochure ng current starex ganun din. it just showed the specs of the manual and automatic, and also of the SWB and LWB. hindi sinabi kung GRX or Gold yung variant sa brochure. that is for the current starex

Pwede na sa 'kin yung CVX variant except for one thing - wala siyang rear wiper. Ang mga van pa naman parang magnet sa putik yung tailgate pag tag-ulan. Mukhang mahirap rin magretrofit ng rear wiper sa Grand Starex kasi sa windshield nakamount, unless papalitan yung salamin:

cge sir nagde deliver naman kame kung malayo ung place ninyo samen ung variant po is tci and crdi w/ vgt ung kulay po is tentative palang. malamang po black, white, beige, maroon, silver, tapos may 2 or 3 shade daw po ng blue. basta sure palang daw po is black, white, silver , beige maroon
