- the body of trike driver who fell on the river was recovered in the morning somewhere in C4-Navotas.
- the lady passenger was RIP on the spot.
- initial investigation says the driver and his wife were going home after a party - possible intoxicated / having an argument when the accident happened.

Aalamin ng mga awtoridad kung nakainom si Sioco nang mangyari ang sakuna, o na-distract siya habang nagmamaneho dahil sa impormasyon na nag-aaway silang mag-asawa habang nasa biyahe.

the tanod was filming the incident, meanwhile he is just talking to the suspect and the witnesses. dapat nga yung mga paikot ikot na cops investigate the suspect at yung victim na namatay. Maybe they are waiting for the SOCO team to arrive to do that.

i'm not surprised.
it only goes to prove that breadloaf vans are front-heavy and weigh significantly less at the rear.
it also shows how well they are designed nowadays.

If the vehicle they were overtaking already had a hard time seeing in the rain. What more for the vehicle in the opposite side. Lalo na mga naka dark tint.. baka small glimmer of light long nakikita. I don't think they've ever seen the interior of vehicles with dark tink in the dark na walang ilaw. I mean that's darkness na. Lol

Gumanda na kasi daan kaya back to 80-100 kph na speed dyan. Lumapad pa.

Malamang madilim ilaw ng motor. And halogen lang ilaw ng van.

Nung dumaan ako dyan nag pa flash bright ako esp sa curve to warn opposite traffic from overtaking

i'm wondering about this as well. parang laging na-eemphasize to kaya lumalakas loob ng mga kamote kasi isip nila laging may kasalanan ang naka kotse.

Kung wala ka naman mali na ginagawa, you won't really owe them anything. Period.

i.e.- "Possibleng makasuhan ng reckless imprudence yung driver ng kotse..." eh of course, SOP lang yun, pero wala yun. If worthwhile to pursue (may assets sila that can be siezed) pwede mo habulin yun na danos.

Sakit ng ulo + hassle nga lang.

Well, they're in for a rude awakening.
Believing something, no matter how profound the belief, doesn't make it reality.

The laws (no matter how imperfect the system is) were written to bring some sense of order to society. They're there because human emotions and beliefs are (even more) unreliable and would bring greater chaos to an already chaotic system.


There are those who, by sheer bravado (aka. "YABANG") or ignorance, somehow believe that the law doesn't apply to them (ex. motor na beating the red light, reckless or nag-counterflow na alanganin). And in a 3rd world sh*tty country like ours, they often get away with it, getting more and more brazen every time.

Rather than get angry, I'd say "Carry on!" (tuloy nyo lang). Why? Because eventually they they will reap the rewards of what they persist in doing. Luck will eventually run out- tulad ng mga aksidente sa thread na ito.

Wag lang sana sila mangdamay (mga bwiset)

"Sige, you think the laws don't apply to you?" No matter what they think, unless anghel, demonyo, santo sila or the Master himself (referring to the big "J"), the laws of physics apply to them same as any other thing here on Earth.

The car has airbags, seatbelts and a steel shell surrounding its driver and passengers. What does the driver of the scooter have? A fiberglass helmet??? O sige, throw in pa yung full suit of "riding armor" or whatever it is they call it. Ma-ospital man yung mga nasa kotse, more likely severely maimed or dead yung nasa motor.

If you ask me, a smart person would live his life using his brain, hindi (false) yabang.

agree naman na most likely di ka makukulong or mapipilitan magbayad. pero sabi mo rin nga, it's the hassle and sakit ng ulo -and even harassment from relatives nila- ang problema. lalo kung sa provinces nangyari yung accident. sobrang laking abala lalo kung nananahimik ka lang sa lane mo.

I'm not complaining about the law. it's the press release that irks me na ang dating ay laging yung driver ang presumed guilty until proven innocent. though di naman kasi makakasuhan ang patay. they could simply frame it like "kasalukuyang iniimbestigahan ang pangyayari bago magsampa ng karapat-dapat na kaso."

To elaborate lang dun sa last sentence ng previous post ko, kwento ko yung na-overhear ko from some pedestrians (recklessly) crossing a busy street with his girlfriend (nagmamadali yung babae):

GF: "Yaan mo yung mga taxi. Ano, sasagasaan nila tayo? Eh di makukulong sila!"
Worried Boyfriend: "Oo, makukulong nga sila, PATAY naman tayo, eh talo pa rin"

It also shows yung yung differing perspectives ng babe from lalake in our society. Many times, girls can get away with a 'taray" attitude bec pwedeng hindi sila patulan. If you are male and aasta ka ng ganyan, you probably won't live long...
