He was probably too focused on overtaking the other car (flashing the hi-beams repeatedly) that he didn't realize that he was already at the end of the straight.

So painful.

EDIT: Brake failure daw, from an IG post. To me, parang hinde. He let go of the gas too late and he was on the inner lane for a left-hand corner. Idk.

I know that elyu has become a party town of late but this is ridiculous. Back in the day , my friends and I would go in unauthorized Joy rides but we were at least 16 years old by then. At least Kahit pa paano mas advanced na motor skills (and gimmick instincts 😁) Namin by then , both literally and figuratively. 😜

the way i see it, it appears to be a multi-faceted issue.
the bike lane has effectively eaten away one lane for four-wheel vehicles. traffic has to make do with one less lane, for everything, including parking, loading and unloading, or simply driving by. yes, there may be rules etc, but the fact is, it happens.
it is common sense, one does not open one's door, without first taking pains to look to see.
swerving without looking back is a no-no, regardless of how many wheels one has. having side mirrors helps, 'though.
and driving defensively is a must.

Least fault yung SUV driver, kasalanan nung mga tao ng delivery van including the driver and pahinante.
