The hassle would be the maintenance issues after a few years. There's a cover to protect you from the sun and you can have it tinted also.

Focus 1.6 DCT, so-so... 2.0, pretty good for the powah. The Focus TDCI, RIP, was fantastic... economy was good, wtih butt-kicking performance.

Old Lynx 1.6.. crap economy, 1.3... great... 2.0... good for the power.

Ranger 2.2, great. 3.2, great on highway, merely okay in traffic.

Explorer, V6, not bad compared to other V6s. 2.0T... better.

Escape 2.0, horrible. Escape 2.3, acceptable.

Ford's reputation for guzzling really came from the Expedition (hell, waht do people expect, 2.5 tons and a V8!)... and was reinforced by issues with the Lynx AT and the first Escapes. Otherwise, their economy is not bad compared to competitors... and better, in the case of some models.
I'm disappointed there's no mention of a clutch that will survive the apocalypse...
Damn, son! Where'd you find this?

I was able to test this in BGC and ang napansin ko nga is yung vibration ng engine... but comparing it to new gen fiesta, medyo same naman nga. I guess, normal lang talaga ito - ford cars-gas?, or this variant/platform?.

Question: if your company will let you choose your car and this is one of the options. will you still get the trend AT or will you get the titanium?

    Conditions are:
Company will shoulder the cost of the car
    Company will shoulder the maintenance/registration/insurance
    Employee will shoulder gas
    Employee Preference: A/T

they have to address the strong vibration of the engine. for a brand new car, this condition is unacceptable.

Titanium na boss! Sagot naman pala ng company maintenance and other possible issues like the powershift/TDC ba yun? Issues daw po yan ng fiesta powershift. Hope naayos na ng Ford.

Same tayo na company car plan, but I think yours is way better. Pati yung paudlot-udlot kung matutuloy or hindi. Hahaha..

Wanted the AT but I've read issues on the powershift. One wanted to sell his fiesta and buy a Hyundai Accent HB as replacement... Kaya I'm opting for the Trend MT instead.

Called a dealership, for now hindi pa daw sila na-mandate na kumuha ng reservation fee. Palista na muna. But most probably by March manghihingi na sila.

Based sa mga complaints and issues na nabasa ko online pinapareset nalang nila yung computer ng PS, 50:50 lang rin ang chance na magiging ok yung transmission after that, tapos minsan pag nawala na bumabalik lang ule, so rereset lang ule ganon.

They usually update the software of the Powershift transmission in older models, new models supposedly have the latest updated software.

Mga sir newbie lang po ako. Im having a difficult decision po kasi, im torn between the two; toyota vios G AT or ecosport Trend AT. I want an automatic transmission po kasi because of the traffic, the only downside i can see from the ecosport AT is the gear hunting. Is the issue about ford poweshift(gear hunting)resolve na po ba?

I'm from Pampanga. Tanong ko lng kung may nakasubok na ng after-sale services sa Ford Pampanga? OK ba sila o mas recommended na bumili na lng ng unit sa ibang Dealer?

You wont really notice a difference in terms of reduced gear hunting or lag improving. The fiesta and ecosport are built for economy, not speed regardless of what the name would suggest (Fiesta Sport, EcoSport).

As Jeremy Clarkson put it about the fiesta's horsepower: we are not talking stallions here. What they mean is Shetland pony power. This means that overtaking anything is simply impossible. An exaggeration of sorts, but for leisurely driving the DCT of the fiesta and most likely the ecosport will do. Flooring it will just simply waste fuel. Get the manual or maybe the AT version if you want more direct control. The DCT at least for the fiesta prefers slow deliberate acceleration.

The new Fiesta and EcoSport Powershift has a Sport (manual) mode so you can hold the gears longer.

I prefer the manual transmission model though, my family and I have always preferred doing our own gear shifting.

Sir AG4, asking for your opinion...

My company car plan allows me to replace my car every 7 years only. (instead of 5 yrs which was the previous policy).

Is Ecosport Trend MT a good buy that would last for 7 years?

The Ecospost really looks good and I think it will perform well.

I think it should be ok since a lot of its mechanicals were carried-over from the Fiesta.
...but it's always safer to test drive one first before making your final decision.
