Well the rig is a truck not a sports car. And shifting slow doesn't make it uncomfortable either, more of a relaxed shifting type. I find isuzu manuals more unpredictable as I've owned a trooper and drove a dmax. Precision shifting is really not to be expected from thesr rigs. It wouldve been great if the matic was offered way back when I decided to purhase tho.

Just went to a Ford dealer yesterday afternoon, mayroon dumating 3 XLT, two manual and one auto. When they opened the hood, puro lawang heat shield pads. When I inquired from the SA bakit ganito, when lahat nakita ko sa naka display sa MIAS na XLT at Wildtrak mayroon. The SA said it's not required. If you want one, you pay P4,000 for the heat shield pad. Is this true? For those who bought their rangers, wala ba talaga kasama heat pads at saka how much did you pay for it. TIA.
What should I do?
Or okay lang po sa Ranger. Natin un since malaki naman sya?

We got ours from Ford Davao, and yun rin yung sinabi nila; di na daw kailangan.
Maraming nagsasabi sa ibang forum na the engine won't generate enough heat to start bubbling the paint on the hood.
Wow 4k! Mine has one and didn't pay a cent for it. Baka nagsimula na mag strip down and ford for more $$

Yung heat generated ng engine when traveling, lalo na long distance or sa traffic, is enough to slowly degenerate your car's paint in about two years time. This is what's happening sa service vehicles namin, para siyang may mantsa sa hood because nag fade na color nya. I suggest palagyan nyo po. What's 4k kung later on magpapa repaint din kayo, di ba? Also, as a suggestion na din, make it a habit to open the hood of your car when ever you travel long distance or galing sa traffic, pag dating sa bahay or kung saan man po pumunta na pwede mabuksan hood.
Went to Ford Pampanga this mrng to get my plates and saw newly arrived one 3.2 wildtrak auto and three manual 2.2 mildtraks. Sales manager is convincing me to upgrade my XLT automatic to wildtrak, according to him he can sell it right away since it's a hot item. His exact word is " Ginto ngayon 'yan Sir mas rare pa ngayon 'yan sa 3.2 wildtrak maraming naghahanap ng ganyan. Yung last units na dumating last year may price increase na" Ang sabi ko sa kanya "ganun ba eh di mas lalong hindi ko ibebenta unit ko kasi limited edition lang pala XLT Auto. Sa mga nka-XLT Auto congrats! Best buy and value for money talaga units natin :-)
