And wala talagang tubular bars yang ganyang model.
Base sa experience ko sir between my Mazda bt-50 3.2 AT and ranger 2.2 xlt AT, in city driving Medyo matipid ranger Kasi nga almost always low gear Lang takbo natin and smaller displacement engine nya. But in express ways and out of town trip matipid bt-50 Kasi always high gears na takbo. Konting apak sa gas pedal harurot agad and less stress angine ng 3.2.
Hindi ko Lang alam if magiging the same FC ng 3.2 ranger and bt-50. But stil m getting the wildtrak 3.2 and letting go the bt-50. Who would care of the FCs if your riding on the wildtrak 3.2? Hehehehe....
Felt this too when I test drove the Ranger. It's not that bad, but it's not what I'd call smooth. Closer to the tranny of an APV than an FD Civic.
That sucks if I have to be slow with my shifting. I hate taking more than a few tenths of a second on shifts, especially when I'm in a hurry. Ayoko kasi nung manual na parang every change gear, ang tagal nakabitaw sa gas so the car shifts balance forward, then the weight shifts to the rear again as you slot into the next gear. Parang FX driver lang eh, it feels so rough and uncomfortable especially for passengers. Kaya I try to make my shifts as quick as possible. It shouldn't be bad for the transmission as long as the clutch is fully depressed, but in my experience with our APV, ang gaspang talaga ng shifts. Sa Ranger din parang ganun but to a lesser degree.
Care to share actual figures? Theoretically the bigger engine should be less stressed, yes. But also consider that even at lower revs, the larger size of the engine makes it inherently thirstier. So it's possible that even if the bigger engine is running only at 20% power while the smaller engine at 40%, the latter can still consume less gas even if you push it higher because it's inherently more efficient.
Case in point - the 1.6 and 2.0 Altis. In the city, naturally, the 1.6 Altis is more efficient (8-9 km/L vs 6-7 km/L for the 2.0). But in the highway, if your theory applies, then the 2-liter Altis should be more economical. My best highway FC? 13 km/L. That's with a light foot at 90-100 kph. At the same speed using a 1.6 Altis, I get over 15 km/L.
So unless you have actual experience and figures to show, no, a bigger engine is not always more efficient at highway speeds.
Yes bigger engine tend to consume more gas than smaller engine displacement. But consider other factors that bigger engine gives you less stress on the engine when revving coz it gives you the sudden acceleration when you need it for over taking and especially driving on steep roads. If you do it on smaller engine it takes a lot of rev to compensate the speed you need. The more it stresses the engine. Ang yes I do experienced it. Mine is a 3.2li engine and my frirnd has 2li engine. We drove from manila to cam norte and yes we consume almost the same amount of diesel. But, driving on that zigzag road, full of slow trucks and buses that loads and unloads its passenger on the side of the highway made my driving a lot easier compared to my friend. Saved more time, less stress on the engine and giving you the power when you need it without sacrificing your fuel consumption.

Gusto ko rin nito pati yung roll-up cover or roller lid ba yun.. Pwede ba yun nakalagay yang dalawa?
Magkano pala yang roll bar? Pati yung roller lid? Salamat.
May nakita pala akong Ford Ranger na white sa Iloilo with raptor grill. Ganda pero white yung F O R D. mas maganda siguro kung black lang :D
In my opinion if 3.2 & 2.2 are both automatic and they share the same drivetrain then they should probably have the same RPM at crusing speed. The
2.2 has RPM of 1,700 * 100 kph, for those who have 3.2 what is its RPM * 100 kph? I heard that both have the same top speed of 180 kph, the advantage of the 3.2 is that it can reach that speed earlier because of more power but to produce greater power it would also require more fuel to burn.
