really? toyota did this DI thing when they first realeased the fotuner. ayaw ng cash at puro inhouse financing nilang back then. parang mas ok pa ang DI kesa sa mga rates ng financing nila nun. try to browse old thread.
btw, DI is common sa lahat ng bank PO. dun kumikita dealers. kahit ordinary na di mabili kotse e me DI pag kumuha ka thru financing. normal nga lang is .5 to 1%.

September 15th, 2012 12:49 AM #966They know because I complained last June. It is that stupid high D.I. scheme that made us not buy the Explorer for the mean time. FGP knows but is not doing anything. The only they said to me is that they sell their vehicles wholesale to all their dealers, and the dealers will make their own policy when it comes to selling the vehicle to a client.
There are more Rangers on the road than the Colorado because it's the only new pickup truck that has a 4x2 A/T that is priced at 1.1M pesos, which city dwellers really like. The Colorado on the other hand only has a 4x2 M/T variant and is a few thousand pesos more expensive than the Ranger 4x2 A/T variant. Most of the Colorado buyers are from the provinces and buy the 4x4 A/T and M/T variants.

September 15th, 2012 03:26 AM #967mga sir everybody did the DI thing toyota, mitsu, hell even hyundai.. its just a way for dealers and agents to earn extra cash because they know that they have a hot in demand item with limited stocks everybody wants to have. i.e. in 2006 the fort some even took the bait of +250k just to get in front of the line, with mitsu their monty they charged up to 5% DI when stocks are low, with hyundai with the tucson they dont take anything lower than 3% DI, and with ford with the ranger last month it was 2% DI but now its 5% DI and also when they released the explorer they were asking up to 10% DI and in some point the buyers are paying the DI up front to the dealer.. people will do anything to buy and get the vehicles that they want. and the dealers knows this and sasamantalahin nila un.
