Also im looking for a supplier ng General grabber at3 and kumho KL78 all terrain tires? Thanks
Yup, the stock headlights are not so bright but tends to glare oncoming traffic so best to retrofit a projector.
IP68 waterproof according to the owner of the shop.
The shocks, aux lights or projector retrofit?
I think I paid Php 27,000 or 26,000 not so sure but that includes everything including the HID bulbs and ballasts. You can find his contact details at his site.
[QUOTE=cdv;2136408]I find the ride firm and bouncy so I had my rear shocks changed to Iron Man Foam Cells and removed a one leaf spring on each side.
[QUOTE]
*cdv, the thickest (2nd from bottom) leaf spring was removed. I'm tempted to remove it too to soften the rear ride. Thanks for sharing your modification. God bless
I just took my wildtrak up north. After 1000km check up. We went on our northern trip.
Trip took us to San Fabian La Union - Ilocos - Cervantes - Sagada - Banaue - Nueva Vizcaya - Manila
Total mileage is 2000kms (with initial 1k) northern trip was 1k too
stock no mods
Load - family of 5 with personal effects
consumption 10.6 li/100kms more or less 50% traffic/city driving and 50% hiway
I am pretty happy with the wildtrak. I can't understand what other people are complaining that the 2.2 is under powered. Climbs from Ilocos to Sagada was soo wickedly steep narrow and lots of switchbacks - it handled it with ease. There are lots of times that you would have to start a climb at a stop due to narrow roads - hill start assist was well used!! Handling was also great. Yes ride was a bit on the stiff side but I would rather have it stiff (with tire pressure at 32psi) then soft with body roll.
I was running max at 120kph. I was just traveling 80-101kph most of the time - who would want to run any faster with your whole family in the car, state of our roads, crazy drivers and pedestrians. Heck I am using a pick up and not a race car. Engine was purring and cruise control was pretty handy too. I just have to get use to it.
Did I make a wise choice to get the wildtrak manual 2.2???? Hell YES!!!!
Next places to visit Baler and Infanta :D getting the most out of the end of summer!!!!
