September 26th, 2012 11:43 AM #1101Rims are 35k (set). I like tires with a high side wall, it gives it an intimidating look. The tires in the pic are Nitto Trail Grappler (19k each). Other alternatives from the same brand that offer better on-road performance are Terra Grappler, and Dura Grappler. There are also other brands available with the same tire size at 12-14k each.

September 27th, 2012 01:27 PM #1103I was about to get this truck, unfortunately cost of ownership is too costly on my end or should I say not practical.
As per FORD DEALERS service schedule for diesel vehicles of FORD is every 3 months or every 5K Km whichever comes first compared to japanese cars wherein it's 5k Km or every 6mos. Unfortunately for me, I will only be using this in the city, mostly from house-office-house on a daily basis, plus the fact that this truck will be my 2nd car. I only consume less than 2,100Km average every 3mos with just one car, in short I will only be consuming 1K++ every 3months....waaaaaaaaaaa....
Sayang, I guess, I will just be a forever admirer of this truck, hehehe.....I was able to get a good deal na sana with 1% DI na lang, after waiting so long....haaaaayyyyyyyyyy

September 27th, 2012 02:39 PM #1104And you believe the lies of the Ford service advisors. If you're using Fully Synthetic Oil then oil change is every 10k kms, the 5k kms in between the oil change is for top up. Standard yan kahit sa diesel cars. In Ford Global City and Ford Libis, if you use Fully Synthetic Oil, oil change is every 10k kms

September 27th, 2012 02:47 PM #1105Aleman, You are mis-informed.
As per Ford, with this new Ranger engine their recommendation is to do Change Oil every 10K kms.

September 27th, 2012 02:54 PM #1106Correction regarding my earlier post....
I called up FORD PH and they said that it's supposedly every 6mos or 10k Km and not the one I earlier posted, which was actually information provided to me by my SA in Ford Manila. The every 3mos or 5K Km is applicable to 2009 Ranger, again this is as per FORD PH.
Ranger still....yahooooooo...I hope I can still get that only unit of AUTOHUB GROUP for this month.

While the 3 month schedule is mostly BS, using synthetic oil does not automatically mean a car can go 10,000 kilometers between intervals, unless it's designed to. Better to check your manual.
Best to do an oil analysis every few hundred kilometers, and base your oil change intervals on that.

September 27th, 2012 03:33 PM #1110exactly...tapos required pa kumuha ng extended warranty sa AUTOHUB GROUP, as per FORD MANILA that is. Syempre nga naman, since extended warranty is only AUTOHUB GROUP, dapat dun ka lang din pa service after the standard 3 yr warranty period, otherwise sayang yung 24k mo...hehehe
Same design language across the range is fine Porsche, Audi, VW, Lexus and Mazda are all like...
China cars
