I have always been vocal against projector system na basta na lang kakabitan ng led bulb that is not specifically designed for a projector or halogen housing just because the base/mounting fits. Sorry but it will always have a shitty output if compare mo sa properly retrofitted hid.

The led projectors na nasa top tier as of now is still not available sa pinas and is so expensive for most people that are not into headlight hobby/enthusiast. Yung i-led is also good option in price, cut-off and beam pattern, but not as good as proper retrofit when it comes to performance. Redline has led projectors not sure if it is i-led.

The M-leds by morimoto can stand its ground if compare siya sa mini d2s 4.0. Wall shots (lock exposure setting), and actual video of both system at real world test. M-led has same if not better distance than mini d2s 4.0 pero the mini d2s excels in light width over the M-led. But then wala pa sa atin ito and mahal pa as of now. kahit yung ginamit ni sam colt sa test niya ay prototype version pa yun and I'm not sure if modded pa. Ang mga seller sa US presale pa as of now ang Mleds.

Also isa sa mga advantage ng leds over hid is during flashing or start up time.

I have until next week to decide kung kukuha ako ng G5-R kay paolo (xenon concepts). Sana nga ganun ka-noticeable difference from Q5-R.

Upgrade itch.

    Here's my osram cbi:

Question is, should I stick with the Q5 muna and the osram cbi? So pa-open ung bagong headlights para ilipat doon ung Q5 then osram then pag nakulangan bago mag order nung G5? Truth is with the new headlight assemblies, gusto ko sana one-time lang i-open eh.

If gusto mong isahang trabaho lang and less hassle i suggest diretso ka na g5.

I feel you. Sa car mods there is no such thing as "tama na"

i am using NB on Q5 (35w ballast). I find it more than appropriate. I don't even use my all weather xenon H1 fogs when traversing mountain roads at 110kph. Except when there's heavy fog. Be it city, highway my Q5 + NB are more than enough for my lighting needs.

When we went to bukidnon before, I tried to drive fast on rough unpaved roads with loose gravel going to dahilayan just to try how a 4x2 vs 4x4h setting feels. And also wanna experience rally style driving hahaha. I like how dirt flies behind you and the cloud of dust view on my rear view mirror. I did that na walang ibang sasakyan or tao dahil mostly pineapple plantation dinaanan ko.
But if night driving I won't drive that fast kahit naka fxr 3.0 with philips 85122 ako that time.

Comparison of stock halogens (top), plug and play LEDs (middle), and HID retrofit (bottom):

Out of curiosity, if anyone with plug and play LEDs wants to prove that their LED is brighter than an HID retrofit, I'll be willing to meet up and compare side by side with my HID retrofitted car and/or my other car with OEM LED. 😉

Based on those pics parang mas ok pa tuloy ang OEM halogens compared to plug and play LEDs.

Meron naman malalakas na led bulbs pero pag sinalpak sa projector which is not designed for that led bulb ay sira ang optics.
Yup a stock halogen HL is better if walang proper alignment or output ang PnP, not just sa led but also hid system.

Kaya nga gusto kong makakita ng side by side ng stock halogen/HID/LED vs PnP LED para makita talaga which has better road lighting (not just sheer silaw).
