KS led is brigther compare to HID and HID retrofit..
And at a fraction of the cost of A retrofit..
Yan ang problema, safety mo lang iniisip mo. how about other motorist?

No hindi ako seller and I'm not planning to. I just make sure that I personally know kung anong mods sinasalpak ko sa vehicle ko not because it is written on the label.

I never said that. Controlled output pinag uusapan bossing. Pag nag wall shot ka ng cut-off ng healight mo dapat walang glare o light above the cutoff. dyan pa alng maikita mo na if may glare o wala. Try mo mag wall shot at 25ft. And oh since we are one the topic, wala ako makitang "step" sa mga cut off dun sa page na yun.

*glenn manikis - heres a comparison proper cut-off with step on the left And your so called led on the right at di ko alam kung saan kinuha ang HID kit dyan sa comparison but that is not a proper HID+projector combo. Both HID and led sa 1st pic on the right ay walang mga step ang cut off.
And please explain to me this 2nd pic on the left is from the fb page you mentioned. Really? fogs/low beam? Now check out the right side of the photo of a low beam on a properly retrofitted HL.
Di sa sinisiraan ko ang seller. I know he or she is just trying to make a living. Ang sa akin lang pag nag claim tayo be sure that we could back it up lalo na pag nag compare kana ng products mo sa ibang products.

Again di ako seller. Just an enthusiast/student of automotive lighting.

Maganda talaga ang cut off... compare mo sa bowl like headlights.. na walang cut off.... pero whats important is... hindi glaring and malakas ang output... and you can see clearly whats in front of you...

Ang ganda nga ng cut off- ang
Pangit naman ng price.... its much more expensive than KS led that can give you a better output...

pero pag naka HID ka na at pinalitan mo ng bulb lang ng KS LED maganda na din ang CUT OFF... mas malakas pa... pero at a fraction of the cost.

Post pics.. that are actual shot/pictures taken by the customers not by the seller...

Pics at Ks led are shots taken by customers on their phone... no filter, no special camera...

You can also read some post there that some were former HID retrofit users.. are now more satistified when they switch to KS led... tapos Its Way cheaper pa.... and wont damage your lens..

Cge paps.. need to work na.. kahit sun.

that is waht I've been saying all along.

Ang ganda nga ng cut off- ang
Pangit naman ng price.... its much more expensive than KS led that can give you a better output...

Kaya yung isa kung pics na pinakita is about focal point.

Post pics.. that are actual shot/pictures taken by the customers not by the seller...

Pics at Ks led are shots taken by customers on their phone... no filter, no special camera...
I know hindi sa seller yung mga pics, but the mere fact that it is advertised sa page na yun is something I dont understand.

You can also read some post there that some were former HID retrofit users.. are now more satistified when they switch to KS led... tapos Its Way cheaper pa.... and wont damage your lens..
Ang tanong what kind of HID ang ginamit ng mga users ng leds dun sa page before sila nag switch to KS led? Example of a poor HID system ay makita mo dun sa comparison ng ks led vs HID. And a properly retrofitted system will never damage your lens.

Cge paps.. need to work na.. kahit sun.
Kaya I know mapera ka.
pano nyo na sabi na mas malakas? May output shot kayo with lux meter? and at what distance nilagay ang measuring tool? I can post a pic again of TRS and lightwerkz of how they test their items with data and numbers and the test was done in a controlled space para balance ang lahat ng test.

Hmm, I also considered buying those PnP LED kits before but after reading about the topic i decided on the HID retrofit route. I noticed that a lot are selling Philips Luxeon, etc.. but the only thing Philips with these products are the LEDs itself. The circuit board and more importantly the design are all just individual, untested designs by the seller. I looked at reviews and output shots of these kits and these ranged from really bad output with glare to a little better looking than Halogen. On some reflectors it would work, on some it would not. Looks like the idea that it has a lot more usable brightness is due to the color which is a lot whiter than Halogens and a lot more contrast. For me, I think these are risky and I would have needed to to try out different sets and combinations, and the benefit would not have been too much. I would rather have used the high end Osram and Philips Halogens for about 2k.

By the way Philips has an original X-treme Ultinon for H4 sized bulb replacement. The reviews seem to be decent but its being sold for 220 usd.

Trust me, any bulb that is installed on any housing that is not specifically designed for that bulb will never work properly. Kaya ang mga reputable brands, oem man or aftermarket ay gumagawa ng mga replacement bulbs that is made specifically for a certain housing.
I also want to point out that whiter light (north of 6000K) ay useless sa adverse weather, ulan man or fog. lalo na sa asphalt road. That is why if you compare ang mga HID bulbs like Osram NB(4200k) has better contrast if compare mo sa Osram CBI(5500K) during adverse weather condition. Heck even rally cars use 3000k and below for fog lights na almost yellow na during night competition. But whiter light has more bling effect on it and also if mostly city driving people usually prefer the cbi vs nb. But I'm a philips guy so naka 85122 ako dati and I plan to install XV sa plan DIY retrofit ko

Ultinon is 6000k I would'nt use that if I were you if palagi kang out of town. But hey, as long as di nasisilaw ang ibang motorist(in-coming or travelling in same direction as you) at gusto mo ng bling look then go for it.

85122 bulb which already seems a lot whiter than halogens

Actually 85122 which is at 4300k is usually the standard color temperature of most car manufacturer if the car has HID projectors as a stock headlight.

Waiting for my osram cbi's to arrive. Iniisip ko kung bili pa ako ng 'branded' na ballast kung would it help the output more eh. Im using NHK ballast right now.

And is it true nakakasunog ng plastic lens ng headlight pag nag-55 watts na system na?

NHK ballast ay ok naman po. Even lightwekz shop sa US is using them though pag dating sa internal circuitry mas advance ang brands like morimoto dahil pag may na detect na hindi tama yung morimoto ballast ay mag shutdown siya to prevent damage sa ibang components.

Wala pa ata akong nabasa or nakita na may nasunog na headlight lens(plastic) ang 55w if it was properly installed. At ang 55w system ay ang ballast ang 55w not the bulb, dis-advantage ng 55w ballast though malakas talaga ang output nya ay iiksi ang lifespan ng bulb dahil over driven na ang bulb. Kaya nga sa redline pag nag request ka ng 55w ballast ay 1yr lang ata warranty instead of the normal 2yrs if i'm not mistaken.

Koito q5 + nhk 5500 + nhk ballast taken inside car solargard xg35 (light tint) headlights are not perfect. Napa-wetsand ko na dati and coated with clear coat. Kaya ung sharpness wala.

Eto naman taken outside the car

Feeling ko talaga for some reason mas malakas itong 2nd system ko kay paolo compared to the first one which is weird because its supposedly exactly the same set up.

*mouse thanks for the response. were you able to ask what kind of LED projector does gary/tots offer for LED retrofit? Last time I asked it was only koito which won't fit my headlamp thus Im waiting for other options since I would like to try LED vs HID for long term usage. You are right Koito poured their time for testing the components in their LED projector in the toyotas/nissan but I would assume Morimoto would have done the same to their mled. If only local retrofitters would accept bringing our projector.

*D3nb3r I under your argument that mled is expensive because it is new and probably because there arent a lot of competitors in the market, but my point was the price of mled is atrociously expensive for its inferior output. I know a couple of projectors that cost way less with better output. And they are also newly released.

    *hypnos

I wish that were the case here. The G5-R ok din daw, bang for the buck. Mura pa.

I just read this post and tread, both of you have a point stop arguing, I'm no technical guy like you D3nb3r or more so an end user yet like your Glenn, but Im more on facts and proof, I tried to visit both pages that was mentioned here and tried to access the facts being presented, whew both are good quality products and very impressive but the the other one presented more proof sent by the customers if it really came from customers which i think it is since most post have the names of the one posted or shared the comments, but both presented good quality services and products, it is just that the other one presented his own technical details and shots, being a factual guy and relay on research and proof my first question and challenge to both of you, be factual for you D3nb3r did you compare it apples to apples? did the other post use a retrofitted lamp or projectors as you may put it,if so what bulb was used? what if its a regular lamp used, that would be unfair and bias conclusion without you investigating and posting pictures if its not of same projector, maybe it's a regular lamp or reflector? and for you Glenn pls ask your supplier to send you proof where he got those shots given by customer just a simple question did they use a projector lamp or a regular lamp i think its called regular reflectors, what bulb was use, then D3nb3r you can compare using same bulb on a retrofitted one with same bulb, that is just fair comparison the both of you, since D3nb3r wants to use a retrofitted one, then D3nbr3 use the same bulb bulb type as the one you captured that is my challenge since you campared it to the latter, another thing i think the basis for brightness will be in term of Lumens/Lux as i researched it right, brightness is never about sharpness its about Lumens/Lux, what if both hid and led have same bulb position and Lumens both will have the same pattern don't you think? I guess different bulb has different pattern position and applications.

I see it all over the road today, cars and trucks with lights that could be seen from space on a clear night. These days it seems like everyone has a set of super bright headlights, both on either Led or best quality Retrofit, both have disadvantages and advantages, but is brighter or good cutoff always better?

I say no. When auto lighting claims to be the brightest or better cutoff on the market, it doesn’t necessarily mean you are getting a better product. This is just like audio manufacturer claims of high wattage, without mention of the RMS rating, or usable power. There is another important factor to consider other than just lumen output or bulb temperature its called candella or intensity of light. Again like i said both are good when in fact im using Hid now for four years, driving just 1 hour a night since my work is like just a stone throw away from my house, traffic makes it longer. i may have to try Led this time to see the difference.

This is what i got from the internet this is old and Im sure both platforms have evolve.

    Access Denied

    Xenon headlights
Xenon lights, also known as high-intensity discharge (HID) lights, produce a brighter light than halogen bulbs and with far less heat. The blue-white light emitted by xenon bulbs is so bright, it has been known to "blind" other drivers.

These headlights require a large amount of power at the outset to produce their first burst of light, but once fully operational, they require much less energy to maintain constant brightness.

Xenon bulbs have a long lifespan and emit little heat, but they cost more than halogen bulbs.

    LED headlights

LEDs are the most recent innovation in headlight technology. Instead of gas and filaments, LEDs rely on small diodes that produce light when electric current excites their electrons. They need an low amount of power to work but do produce a significant amount of heat on the diode. This requires heat control systems at the bottom of the headlight and near other car components. If this system fails, not just the light, but other electronics could be affected.

The small size of LEDs means they can be formed into almost any shape, and their light is naturally directional rather than diffuse, making them an excellent choice for headlights.

Technology changes so its really upto the endusers choice which is best for them in extreme condition specially at night, whatever works for them practical and value for money.

    Cheers
    Just lurking

This is what i got from the internet this is old and Im sure both platforms have evolve.
