Solusyon lang diyan, don't drive too slowly that motorcycles can overtake you.

Those underbones usually go at 60 kph on provincial highways, and can barely accelerate past 80 kph. You have to be driving really slow para harurutan ka ng motor.

Di naman ganun ka slow. Around 50kph naman pero i'm not familiar with the area kasi. First time driving sa looban ng silang.

Badtrip lang kasi when i try to overtake, bigla bibilisan at gigitna.

Pinatayan ko ng ilaw. Ayun humarurot paalis. Nakiki ilaw lang pala

Around 5k to 7k ang windshield only 70% VLT tints from Nanotech and 3M. Mas mura compared to having HID retrofitted. What would be better? Current windshield tint is 3M CS35

Between dark tint + HID vs. clear tint + halogen, clear tints offer much, much better visibility:

If you think putting HID on dark tint gives a night and day difference, try putting clear tint instead. Much, much more visibility.

However, I understand that some people don't want to sacrifice their privacy for the sake of visibility. From experience, HID gives good visibility even up to 20% VLT tints. If you go 5% VLT, no matter what headlights you have, it'll be too dark.

HID + 20% VLT tint is a good enough compromise, but of course nowhere as good as clear tint + stock halogen.

3M CS20. Like I said, the LED headlamps help a lot, but visibility is still not as good as my Altis' VK70 even with halogen headlamps.

However, it's a compromise I knowingly made because I needed more privacy this time around.

I believe you also had OEM20 on your previous car right? How would you compare the two tints from diff brands? Are there any differences regarding heat rejection and visibility?

I have OEM20 on my Mazda 3 right now and CS20 on my Civic. No noticeable difference between the two. The hype on Vkool applies more to its higher-end tints (K-series and up). The OEM series isn't all that different from 3M Color Stable which still comes out cheaper.

If anything, the OEM-series has a greenish hue while the CS has a bluish hue. But visibility is the same for both cars. I'll try to take pictures when I have time.

Heat rejection is still dependent on aircon strength more than tint. My old 10th gen Altis with no tint cools just as quickly as my Civic because Honda's aircon isn't as cold as Toyota's. My Mazda's aircon is even worse.

I know that clear tint plus + HID is better than dark + HID. But as you said some people opt to have more privacy/security on a darker tint. Also its not only about privacy why I choose vkool 70 darker tint has higher heat/infrared rejection. This leads lead to better aircon efficiency. Better aircon effeciency leads to better fuel economy. That is the main reason why ni-retrofit ko dati yung sa 4th gen strada ko. And now yung stock HID system ng strada GT ko ngayun ay plan ko rin palitan ng Morimoto d2s 4.0, XB35 ballast w/ philips xv c1 35w bulbs.
For me unless you have poor eyesight at night you dont need an HID upgrade if you have a clear tint. But if you still go on the HID route, it'll be a good investment as long as it is properly done and you have a budget for it.
