Mas malinis nga lang E10 sa environment. Have to try E10 on my cars yet to compare how much will be the difference in terms of mileage and cost.

Agree with you uls,- I just checked with my suking gas station dito sa LPC. Their super unleaded is still pure gasoline (no ethanol)....

Ito talagang si bro AY,- pinakaba ako.... Nagpakarga kasi ako ng Shell super unleaded sa isa naming sasakyan na hindi pa EFI....

Ooppps,- V Power with ethanol??? (10% ba?).... I need to check this too, later....

Going by the thread title kasi, Petron did nothing wrong. There was no false advertisement.
I specifically stated sa title thread na Petron Shaw Blvd and not ALL Petron gas stations in general. Petron Shaw blvd. Wack Wack branch kasi DOES NOT have the sticker and the gas boy clearly stated na pinatanggal ng management ang mga ito para di makita na e10. That is why i was asking kung isolated incident lang ba to or not.

Swordsman: yes the petron i am referring to is the wackwack branch.

wow confusing a! Sana may standard for all gas stations on how to label their fuel properly. Parang anything goes nalang e per branch. Wala bang memo from the mother company?

For car cars, alam ko one option is to widen the injector nozzles para puwede mag-karga ng ethanol-blended gasoline.

    Eto, from Wikipedia:

Prior to the development of electronic fuel injection (EFI) and computerized engine management, the lower energy content of ethanol required that the engine carburetor be rejetted to permit a larger volume of fuel to mix with the intake air. EFI is able to actively compensate for varying fuel energy densities by monitoring the oxygen content of exhaust gases. However, a standard EFI gasoline engine can typically only tolerate up to 10% ethanol and 90% gasoline. Higher ethanol ratios require either larger-volume fuel injectors or an increase in fuel rail pressure to deliver the greater liquid volume needed to equal the energy content of pure gasoline.

If you look closely at the reciept, it is the only place you will see that the unleaded fuel you bought is actually "Unleaded E10". Other than that lahat ng signs sa gas station ( fuel pumps to the billboard ) puro unleaded lang nakalagay. Parang false advertisment ata to? Pwede ba i sumbong sa DTI? Kawawa naman mga masiraan ng makina bec of this.

mali yan ah... sumbong nyo sa DTI and DOE. truth in advertising dapat.

All Petron stations tinanggal na yung E10 pumps and replaced them as Unleaded with RON ratings of 93. So wala na yung premium E10 na minamarket nila before.

Bad thing nga lang is bawas market on their end yan. Loved their E10 95 RON before, now I'd just have to stick with a higher end fuel gawa ng pangit na yung consumption ko using their new Unleaded mix at 93 RON.

Dapat lang they should properly label their pumps to avoid misleading the customers.

Avid user pa nman ako ng unleaded nila.. yung E10 nila didn't suit well to my EFI engine.

magulo talaga, like in petron sa filinvest nagkarga me ng xtra unleaded P36.50, then may nakita me na may nabili sa kabilang pump sa gallon ng wilkens xtra unleaded din eh kulay violet siya, nagtaka me kasi pagkaalam ko ay kulay green ang unleaded. i asked the gasoline boy kung bakit sabi yun daw ang bagong xtra nila may ethanol na 10%. toinkz!!! eh bakit nakalabel nila ay xtra unleaded? di man lng nila inaadvise mga customer before filling up. kasi yung ibang petron ang nakalabel ay xtra e10. sana sa katapat na total nalang me nag gas e-10 was cheaper. di pa naman phased out regular unleaded. dami stations magka seperate pump ng unleaded at e10.

    Mga kababayan,

Pinagloloko tayo talaga ng BIG 3 (Shell, Petron at Caltex).... they phased out the UNLEADED gasoline and used the Unleaded E10 as their new unleaded. bago nangyari ito ang price ng E10 is lower than the original UNLEADED but when they replaced it ung dating price ng Original UNLEADED ang ginamit nilang price. Petron Xtra Unleaded ang gamit ko, last time na mag gagasolina ako sa Petron lahat daw ng stations nila E10 na ang available. Since then sa TOTAL na ako nag gagasolina. I THINK NA DAPAT AY ma-imbestigahan ito ng DTI, DOE or whatever GOVT agency... malinaw na niloloko tayo ng mga ito... paglilinaw lang ordinaryo akong consumer and not connected to any of the small players. Maraming salamat.

isa pa sa mga pinagtataka ko. before E10 is cheaper by 1 peso at least compared to the regular unleaded, now that petron has re-labeled their regular unleaded to E10, bakit 50 centavos cheaper na lang? are they conning us? they could have at least sell their unleaded 1 peso less.

I think they phase out all their regular unleaded and e-10 altogether and release a new unleaded fuel blended w/ e10 (Petron's case) or simply pass their e-10 as regualr unleaded as mandated by biofuel act (I think in Shells, et al's case). In doing, fuel companies can now start charging higher prices for e10 blend since there is no price comparison.

Eh? They're phasing out unleaded when a lot of cars are not meant to run on e10? I asked Mazda about this and they said that ethanol can damage rubber parts and fittings in the car, so obviously, i don't plan to use this fuel anytime soon. This should be brought to the attention of the authorities.

as far as i know, the legislator who authored the Biofuels Act was Sen. Miguel Zubiri. did he not realize the volume of cars in the Philippines with carburetors? what will happen to vintage cars, if they will no longer sell the regular type of fuel?

the shell station near our place in Sampaloc has 2 signs, one reads "super unleaded" and the other reads "super unleaded e10". so i asked the gas boy to fill my car with the fuel w/o the e10......

sabi sakin ng boy "sir lahat ng super unleaded at super premium ay may halo ng e10"

i was left w/ no choice but to try it in my 9 yr. old carburatted car...so far so good naman

Actually he sided with the auto makers when he did that. Of course people with old engines will have to buy a new car panalo mga auto makers dito. Of course ang main point pa ding ng E10 law is economic as it tries to rely less on imported oil and rely more on our farmers. Good idea? Well as long as it does not break our cars then I am all for it.

E10 Ethanol, bad for your engine & economy? [MERGED]
