Wow 103 ang octane ang nakita ko sa tv 97+ lang..Sana magkaroon na kaagad ang ibang gas station na ethanol gasoline...Pagnagkaroon sa alabang masubukan na nga yan ethanol gasoline..

whoa...taas ng octane..pero ilan lang yun branch nila na may e10..
kahit na konti lang ang diperensya kung malakas naman ang octane.okay na ako dyan basta wala masamang epekto sa engine.

PURE ethanol is 113 octane, would a 10% concentration raise octane ratings by SIX points (if using premium gas), or TWELVE points (if using regular)?

Can we use simple weighted-average formula
for computing new blended octane :

assume E10, thus
113 octane ethanol = 10%
95 octane premium gasoline = 90%

[(95 octane)x90%]+[(113 octane)x10%] = (N octane)x100%
then solve for N

N=96.8 octane

probably something like that, or at most, about 98 or 99 octane.

but i agree with glennster, i won't buy E10 for the octane rating. my car needs only 95, and can make do with 91 even. hehe

wala yan. E10 ang gamit na fuel sa maraming states sa US (madated by law) hehe

mbt..kung wala nga..aba..mukhang promising ito...talaga naman..matagal na pala sa us, ngayon lang ginagawa.mukhang talagang pinipigilan ng hbusto ang pagtitipid hanggang aya..sumabog na at wala nang iba para magtipid.

based on that document, it looks like there are negative effects in using this kind of fuel. but again, there are certain factors like the condition of the car used, the quality of the fuel used, etc....

if you read the document carefully, the increase in NOx emissions was due to the deterioration of the catalytic converter due to higher exhaust temperatures & increased oxygen content.

A disturbing part of the E20 report was about the increased wear of internal engine parts which includes the pistons, cylinder sleeves, valves and valve seats. I wonder how this would relate to the E10 blend gasoline.
