AT with paddle shifters nga ang da best!

Hindi yung pure Mt or pure At lang.

I own both automatic and manual cars.

City driving I would prefer AT, comfort above all else. Highway and provincial roads where vehicles are less and traffic is rare, MT for me.

It really depends on your preferences - I know but, let's admit it, more often than not, it all falls down to the question on whether or not you're keeping your car for a long time or otherwise.

From the 2, manual is still a lot more dependable. Automatic transmissions are so hard to maintain when your car gets old.

There are a lot of points to talk about but I'm just sharing to you something that has not yet been mentioned.

Since I've driven an AT di nako babalik sa MT. Siguro tumatanda na din at gusto nalang eh convenience lalo na when i am eating my lunch while driving.

Our eldest is almost in his driving age,- and I will teach him how to drive M/T first, for flexibility.....

I totally agree.

used to be an M/T guy. tingin ko sa mga naka-A/T di nila na-eenjoy mag-drive. ngayon naka-A/T na ako, and still enjoy driving with it... especially nga sa traffic situation natin. dami ko rin nasirang kaliwang paa ng sapatos nung M/T pa. kawawa rin talaga transmission sa stop and go traffic lalo sa manual. baka nga di pa talaga marunong ng mga techniques on proper shifting kawawa talaga. and dati i go with the general idea na pag A/T malakas sa gas... pero nasa driving habits na rin lang yan. i still would want an M/T vehicle pag afford ko na mag-kotse ng dalawa (or more). pero kung isa lang, A/T pa rin siguro.

ako rin M/T din talaga ako, but recently nagkarooon kami ng A/T, sa totoo lang namimiss ko na rin mag-drive ng A/T...simple lang, if you want to speed up just floor the gas pedal, yun nga lang nalalakasan sa gas consumption, pero kung kukuha ako ng A/T, gusto ko yung may paddle shifter, para may M/T feel pa rin.

Chief, just for insight, i've driven both AT and MT, and whether the car is left-hand or right-hand steering.

Personally, in any case whether it be city- or out-of-town drives or in mountain passes, paved or unpaved roads, on- or off-road, i've always preferred manual tranny vehicles primarily because of the total connection and control with the car. We live in cities, and we always buy manual-tranny cars, by the way.

The only advantage i see with an auto-tranny is the ease of driving when one is having a blow job

    Cheers!

For metro manila use mas prefer ko a/t with sportronic rather than a mt. Lahat ng madadaanan mo ngayon traffic medium to heavy

Attended driving school for 7 hrs manual, it was too tiring for me tapos ang tigas pa ng clutch.

Then I attended 4 hours of matic, laking ginahawa sa legs ko and I was able to focus more on other stuff like cornering so in a sense I think mas secure family ko kung matic yung idridrive ko.
