Im a fan of left-foot braking and the only time I could enjoy such is when my friend and I swap cars and I get to drive his matic Lancer MX (pizza).

The sportronic shifter (as he calls it) is one good thing to toy with on open highways though I wish it had five gears ... still confused and it's hard to get used to matic gear ratios when you used to drive a manual for years ...

Upside of that matic: I get to hold the hands of my date while driving:naughty2: ...

He enjoys my manual Civic as well, as he can feel the high revs (up to 7500 rpm) on mid-gears and the oomph of downshifting and squeeling tires.

He can squeel the front tires of his matic Lancer though.

As for me, manual pa rin ako ...

the u.s. military and all u.s. federal government vehicles are automatic transmission equipped for a reason. first, everybody who has a driver's license can operate them with ease compared to more skills to drive a m/t vehicle. the car rental companies only use a/t cars for the same reason and that they don't have to constantly replace the clutch. as long as the fluid and the level is correct, a/t cars last longer than the m/t cars
