I cab drive both pero I really like the aggressive arangkada ng M/T. ang lagi ko lang problema coming from M/T then driving the A/T, pag nag slowdown ako, ang kaliwang paa ko naghahanap ng clutch :laughbounce:
actually kahit saang aspect tingnan (fuel economy, power , maintenance, safety and porma) mananalo't mananalo pa rin ang M/T over A/T.. Safety wise, mas controlado mo yung oto pag naka M/T during downhill and most specially when overtaking pag salubungan lang yung daan, though yung mga bagong A/T ay may brake assist and padddle shift to compensate those safety concerns..
(p.s. i have both M/T and A/T civics)
bakit 'kamo?
nakataas yung left foot nung driver sa dashboard, habang nagda-drive......![]()
Everyone has their own reasons on which transmission is better for them. I have a tendency to use my daily vehicle to the ground before having to sell, meaning around 150k mileage and at least 8 years old, in my case a m/t is more cost effective the last 2 a/t cars we had (Toyota Crown and Honda Accord) needed a transmission overhaul at around 90k mielage and the cost of the overhaul is around triple the cost of my m/t transmission overhaul. For some reason after the a/t overhaul the transmission is not as good as it was before and after 50k mileage started slipping again. From then on, unless I plan to sell the car in 4 years or less, I am going to stick with m/t for my daily car.
Kaya nag-alangan din ako sa A/T kasi before puro M?T rin naging ride ko because much more fuel efficient and easy to maintain given my driving situation. But as time changed, hindi na masyado bumibiyahe ng matagal, an AT seems ok na rin.
Best pa rin talaga to take into consideration all factors para walang sisihan. I even asked how much and chnaging of AT to MT and quote was almost P80K.
Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!
My current cars now are all A/T, then I just bought M/T because I don't want to get rid of my skill in manual shifting. As mast3r said mas kontrolado ang oto pag M/T especially if it's 4x4
I'd still prefer A/T over M/T especially kapag city driving. You most definitely would NOT want to drive a manual transmission vehicle in stop and go traffic while going up a flyover... Even if you are perfectly healthy, you'd be cursing the clutch in no time.Although if I live in the province where there is not much traffic, then a manual transmission car would be fine.
Hello good afternoon, as for me never na akong bibili ng AT! Sirain ang AT at pag nasira, whole transmission replacement kasi walang nag re-repair ng AT transmission!. This is what happened to my Honda City AT replacement is around 300th! almost 70% ng cost ng kotse ko! Now I am selling it. Meron daw surplus 25th naman and with no guarrantee.
And it also cannot last kung hard driving ang style mo like jackrabbit starts, heavy traffic and fully loaded ang car. Mabilis mag init ang AT and this cause premature damage.
So those with AT, be warned, take good care of your AT kundi you are in for a very expensive ordeal.
Yes, but generally AT's are problematic, just read the Transmission Problems thread here in tsikot.com. Ang daming horror stories, they had to look for surplus transmissions sa banawe or evangelista st. If they are lucky, they will get a good one if not it will be a big waste of hardearned money.
This will rarely happen sa MT, these are robust and can take any abuse from drivers.
