Better than nothing!... OK lang ang dimensions ng mini... in fact... that would be more or less the size of the old Honda Sports Cars... S200 i think?... or the Bug eye MG sprite... or triumph Herald... medyo mahaba lang ng konti mga wheel bases nun for hi-speed stability. malamang it will be a big Go-Kart... pwede na. Go go go!
Tierra Pura - from Quezon City Hall, take commonwealth ave, as you near tandang sora flyover take the 2nd lane and below the flyover take the u-turn, just 10 feet past the intersection (not left turn, walang left turn dun sa T.Sora intersection). after your short u-turn, immediately turn right, t.sora na yon. you'll pass by 7-11 opposite Mc Do sa intersection, followed by jollibee & Tierra Bella sa kanan, direcho lang along the uphill & winding road. Tierra Pura will be at your right about +/- 300meters. You'll be denied entry if you're not a resident or has no appointment with anyone.
..... baka makatulong ako. here's the Mini specs ,Rover production of Mini, last edition, saloon type:
wheelbase- 80.1 in (2,035mm) length -120.25 in (3,054mm) width - 55.5 in (1,410 mm) height -53.25 in (1,353 mm) front track -48.8 in ( 1,240 mm) rear track -47.6 in (1,210 mm)...from complete Classic Mini 1959-2000, by chris Rees. ... Pls note that the dimensions vary from model to model.
Minis? Bug-eye Sprites? Honda S500s? We're tuned to the same frequency!
The TSV mid-engine chassis should be able to accomodate different body styles: from Minis to coupes to roadsters. But cutting up a Mini is to painful to contemplate so I suggest another way - a fiberglass bodied Mini. Just get the moulds from the guys who made the PMC Mini back in the early 90's.

Note: The Honda S500 - the first production Honda car - was driven by chains to each rear wheel. Primitive pa ang mga Honda noon. Evolution of early Honda sports cars:

been thinking bout the same thing lately. anyways mga sirs, i have comed up with a unique transmission design that you guys might wanna check out some time.
Damn, son! Where'd you find this?
actually it's simple enough that youcould use bicycle shifter for it. it's more of my personalized version of a mechanical SMG tranny. problem is, custom made yung clutch system and yung shifter/selector niya. kelangan ng torno work. it will be able to accomodate a theoretical 12+ speed though. nasa paper pa nga lang kasi.
Damn, son! Where'd you find this?
In my experience, "unique transmission systems" rarely work well when placed in a production vehicle unless massive amounts of R&D have already been spent on it.
A car transmission system that uses a chain is not a reliable system especially when you consider every link the chain as a potential failure point. As in the saying, "the weakest link in the chain".
The "Micro-car 1" project we did when I was in college used motorcycle chains to drive the rear drive wheels. In tests, the chains either came off or broke at certain links when stressed enough. If you do want to use chains, your chassis and suspension has to be rigid enough to maintain proper alignment relative to each other.

Can you show us the drawings / sketches of your transmission?
it does not use chains. bicycle chains on cars=mechanical stress. it think i'll show guys my schematics privately. maybe an EB or something would do.
ps. the only bicycle parts you're gonna need is the shifterand the rest are either racing ratio gears/etc. or uniquely fabricated parts.
Damn, son! Where'd you find this?
about vehicles with new designs....
will LTO ever allow the registration of vehicles with new designs, new power sources???
examples....
registration of ATVs/Quads is an issue with LTO. Some people even say that there is a memo released by LTO stating that ATVs cannot be registered.
although some owners are still able to register their ATVs, they still can't use these vehicles in public roads such as EDSA or else the MMDA/police will pull them over.
the reason, ATVs have four wheels like cars, but the rider sits on it like on the motorcycle. and now, i think they're confused with its classification. what a dumb reason.
you can only travel with your ATV if you know the "right" people (people with high positions in the government).
what if the vehicle is a two-wheeler where the rider's position in like sitting on a car seat??? (there are motorcycles like those in Japan)
another is the registration of electric vehicles. In most developed countries, purely electric vehicles are street legal... but in here, most aren't.
Isn't the e-Jeepney limited only to the Makati area?
What I see here is that it'll probably take our country over ten years or maybe even more before drastic changes take place in the transport sector.
Does anyone here know anyone whom we can talk with to help us with such issues?
LTO chief? senators? the president?
about using chains in car transmissions, very possible.
the transfer cases used for four wheel drive vehicles have chains in them. think of the torque these 4WD vehicles have!

A website about a home-built mid-engine Mini. It also has design tips.
