i wonder how will you have doors in the car? ... from the images, the car's "shoulder" is too thick to have a standard door unless it swings up like a lambo.

Next is the rear area seems too low and small to have a Camry sized engine fitted there. Maybe a Honda B16 engine (in a mid-engine RWD config) would fit.

ghosthunter has valid points there. So, perhaps it's time to do a bit of "nip-tuck" on your wireframe model, ehnriko. And maybe we should also hear from wildthing, the thread starter. Any comments?

kaya yan sa frp and the design seems very fit....

lambo-like doors or a door the pushes outward (hydrolics) before turning outwards or ala-lambo.

kulang pa rin ako ng specs hehehe

the rear positioned B16 is indeed a part of the engine option - as well as 20V 4AGE (donors from honda civic and/or toyota corolla/altis)

boss enriko post ka naman ng top, frontal and rear view. I'm going to try to do a scale model in cardboard.

sorry i didn't notice the hayabusa engine option...type ko rin yan...kaso how do i run it - via chains din ba like a bike?

sa single occupant/rider option - ubrang ubra ang option na gusto mo - hayabusa engine mid position and chains driving the rear wheels - maganda sana kung limited slip ang rear kaso i have yet to see a chain-drived rear na limited slip.

it would be like a big go-cart with a big-bike engine.

Why do I remember the Pagani Zonda when I see your design?

    The X-Racer... a.k.a. "I-WHEEL" as in....

"I" referring to the first person... as in personal racing mobility... or Intelligent.

This is a practical race car... since it is powered by a Hayabusa Big Bike Engine or a Honda 1000 big bike engine. If electric motor and Lithium Ion technology is not cost prohibitive, then it is best to go for that.

In the meantime... the Big bike power is more than sufficient for Philippine Roads.... the 4 wheels are Z-Speed Rated big Bike Tyres and Mags.

Suspension is Formula 1 style. with 4 gas shocks...

Two racing seats from China is so dirt cheap... enough for creature comforts... but I guess it will be cheaper to make those racing seats locally... I think Almazora can do it also.... or KEL Seat.

The vehicle stands just above 1 meter... A Drift Racer version can also be made utilizing a Camry engine... Longtitudinally configured in the mid section.

    All glass are plexi-glass....

Body construction... fiberglass with subframe reinforcement...

Pwede na ba for the Pinoy supercar entry?

*wildthing: You can use the Hayabusa to run a shaft-drive to the rear wheels. More robust than a chain drive.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

All mid engined cars have similar silhouettes... but a trained eye can the see the difference... they all have different design signatures... you can start by checking the theme they use on the face, fenders, windshields and muscle sculptures... (Pagani Zonda is more similar to the Mclaren F1)

X-Racer is a minimalistic sports car... the fender muscles intend to provide an optical illussion to make up for the thinner wheels installed to it. Most supercars need to have Wider Wheels in order to look good. the X-Racer is comfortable with Motorcycle Wheels or even your standard 19 inch x 7 inch mags.

This is a concept that aims to place the Pinoy shoulder to shoulder in terms of form or styling against the Italians or Americans, with a sports car that's only a fraction of the cost compared to their Hi-valued Supercars...

It took me about 8 hours to conceptualize this and about 6 hours to render in 3D... another 3 hours to render the doors just now... and about 30 minutes transferring to JPEG files.

I'll post the other elevations view later on. Anyway, this is just a design exercise for me... I don't think anyone is serious enough in making a Pinoy Sports Car... is there???

There is some resemblance with the Zonda, but perhaps only enough to say that they belong to the same style category. IMHO, ehnriko's concept and the elements of his "i-wheel" sufficiently digresses from the Zonda in terms of A-Line, character and flow lines. There's enough variation between the two to acknowledge the originality of ehnriko's design.

FYI, wildthing is serious. Precisely why he created this thread. You should YM each other sometime. And you might as well include ghosthunter and niky in the concept/design team.

I suggest you guys push the project until the temptation to build becomes too strong to resist.

Details are more than enough sir ehnriko... will try to do a scale model (1:10 perhaps) on cardboard within the next few weeks... will be posting details and perhaps question as they come along. Anybody is welcome to pitch in their ideas...this is open-source.

Pagumubra ang external mechanical details on the cardboard model ...lets see if we can mount it sa 1:10 scale chasis ng R/C. I can probably also convert it into styrene shell body common to R/C.

From that 1:10 scale model I can probably convert my go-cart chasis (another project waiting to be build) into perhaps a 1:3 or a 1:4 scale car. I happen to have a honda XE100 engine to power this go-cart/I-wheel scale model car.

Hopefully I can utilize the full FRP bodykit for that.

Again it is becoming a more exciting endeavor!!!

--I believe may potential market sa PInas yan especially sa mahilig sa racing sa Subic and Carmona...If this proto will be produced, for those enthusiast who want a quality and inexpensive racing vehicle i-source locally na dito sa Tsikot.

    Wildthing...

    WOW!

    you are serious!....

ayan... na excite din tuloy ako.

Why not scuplt 1 in PU foam... then make FiberGlass mold out of that master pattern?... oh well, the scale model would really be insteresting.

I really would like to see it when its done. or as it develops...

    keep us posted.

the PU foam could be a possible option pag final ang design...pero yun cardboard model should also be a better option kasi once the model is acceptable... I can simply pour RTV into it and I'll already have a mould for the fiberglass resin.

Pero pag 1:3 or 1:4 scale na yan, baka wood ang magiging mock up.

Will return post asap for more questions - after I fully absorb the drawings.

    Wildthing,

there is a need to go private on this one na atah... what do you think?.... is it adviseable for me to delete the images?... or just leave it here?

Regarding PU foam.... if you know any CNC Machine shop... I can send you the 3D file and then have it machined... but I guess you know the ropes in fabrication.
