[QUOTE=TambayBlues;1016267]Maybe you can buy engine plans at this site so you can build engines too. You can just scale up/modify the CAD drawing dimensions to increase the number of cylinders and engine displacement. Have them machined at the numerous machine shops in the Philippines or better yet you can also build your own gantry type CNC milling machine.

    Check out these sites...

The plans set consists of 65 detailed sheets of quality laser printed CAD drawings and 5 sheets of Construction Notes.

Thank you for sharing such links Yes maybe in due time we can construct our own engines but I guess not for now since we don't have that big project fund for now. We are still now on the stage of improving our design like body, chasis and suspension. We are taking things one at a time

You might want to download Susprog3D, a Suspension design software sa emule. It's mostly fill in the blanks designing, just input your car's parameters and the program will do the rest.

Here's another Ebook that might help;.

    (3) FABRICATOR'S SHORT CUT. To really short-cut the process, as ghosthunter suggested, you can improve on one of the best existing chassis designs. Any improvement or variation (of the Elyse's frame) by Filipinos makes it Filipino enough, IMO. I don't see any IP issues in transforming a tub chassis to a space frame.

A good enthusiast's reference is "Chassis Engineering" by Herb Adams. But even that I think requires engineering (math) ability to translate to proto. It would be good to have an chassis engineer on the team if you're going to do that, or you will soon discover that the short cut is not that short.

Fact is, there is no short cut to designing a car. Unless perhaps you're a maverick Filipino with an instinct for it.
Maybe the links below might help you guys to shortcut things a bit.

Lotus Engineering Software - All in One
    http://**********.com/files/11137554/Lotus_Software.rar

The auto industry has long been known for its use of specialised, proprietary codes. However, some of this software is becoming commercially available. For example, Lotus Engineering (Norfolk, UK) has released its Shark LSA (Lotus Engineering Suspension Analysis) package that it has been developing internally for 15 years. In addition, three other packages are now commercially available: Lotus Engine Simulation to predict the performance of two or four-stroke engines; Lotus Vehicle Simulation allows users to build a virtual vehicleand analyse fuel consumption, exhaust emissions and fuel consumption over a range of fixed-speed runs to accelerations; while LotusConcept Valve Train offers kinematic performance analysis of value-actuation mechanisms.
Responsible for the vehicle dynamics of many of the world’s class-leading passenger cars, Lotus’ ride and handling team was integral to the development of LSA and continues to use the package. Intended for the design and analysis of suspension geometry, it provides templates that define how the suspension is connected to the vehicle and in which you supply dimensions and loads. More than 20 standard templates describe common suspension layouts including double wishbones, Macpherson struts, trailing/semi-trailing arms, pus rod as well as and H-frame configurations, while a user-definable template enables designers to construct unique configurations. An optional module permits the addition of compliant bushes, the rate, position, and orientation of which can easily be modified to allow effects such as lateral force steer due to compliance to be included in the analysis. Suspension characteristics include camber, castor, toe, kingpin angles as well as roll center positions, swing axle lengths, damper ratios, anti-dive, anti-squat and ackermann.
Results can be displayed either graphically or numerically over specified bump, rebound, roll and steer articulations. External forces can be applied to the suspension as well as suspension spring loads, anti-roll bar forces and the influence of steering rack coupling and compliance.
Calculations and results are updated instantaneously after each design change. Result curves show how the suspension geometry changes with the variation of a particular element. An optional module allows users to add stiffness properties of compliant bushes to calculate compliant displacements and bush forces.

    Here's an Emule free download link to a software that you can use to design Gears, Shafts, Springs, Bearings, V-Belts, Toothed Belts, Chain Drives Etc. It has Hardness conversion, Tolerance conversion and Stress calculation among its features;

Calculation of chain transmissions with roller chains in accordance with ISO 606 (also contains DIN 8187 and DIN 8188) with standardized roller chains from a database. The chain geometry (wheelbase, chain link count), transferable power, speed variation, through the polygon effect, etc. is calculated for single and multiple chains. Basis: DIN ISO 10823. Control of maximum permissible speed, recommendation for the requisite lubrication. A third wheel (idler pulley) can be graphically positioned on the screen and included in the calculation.
Configurations: Based on the drive data, a list of recommendations for suitable chain drives is displayed; calculation of chain length from the wheelbase and vice versa.

i have a new inspiration for the tsikot sports vehicle:

will turn this shape into something like this:

I intentionally flipped the image of the Daihatsu Copen (a KEI car) with a 600cc to 1.3L engine displacement versions

    Hi Guys,

For anyone seriously building the next Pinoy Sports Car...

It is a must to be culturally immersed with the design philosophies of the original super cars.

    Bar Stunner,

    Saan yung Gawa mo?

did you say Aguila Glass is charging you P89,000.00 for the glass?

    mahal ata masyado yun.

They asked only P4,000.00 for my 1952 Cadillac Front Windshield, 3 years ago.

I dont see the image of your work.

I'm inviting you all to come and see my project car at MANILA AUTO SALON SMX MALL OF ASIA on Nov. 20 to 23.

Mahilig din ako mag sketch ng cars since I was in kindergarten...

You can text or call me at 0929 591 74 58

looks like this thread has been going on for quite some time now. just dropped by to suggest a similar design like the Caterham 7. It was previously called Lotus 7, and replicas are known as Locost. It's a kit car with a simple attainable design, yet it can have a powerful engine. The exterior looke very similar to our own Owner Jeeps, so we can tweak the looks and you will have a pinoy TSV.

Is this the sports car that Bar Stunner built?

    http://custompinoyrides.com/2009/08/...om-built-cars/

Custom Fiberglass Car by Auto Vision and BAR Custom Built Cars

We Pinoys are well known for our ingenuity in making impossible things happen. And when it comes to customizing cars and coming up with the snazziest and most awesome designs in body kits, we’re hard to beat (think A-Toy, StarBright, etc).

Is this the beginning of a new age, where Pinoys can produce their own SuperCars? Well just take a look at this gorgeous beauty. With an all-fiberglass bodyshell, you’d start to think twice if this was a Ferrari, but it is not. It’s a custom designed car which took 3 years to make.

A peek inside this car reveals a single bucket seat with racing harness. According to the designer, this car came into life with circuit racing in mind. But take note of the LTO registration sticker – this car is actually road legal! It was driven under its own power from Laguna to Alabang just to be featured in the Auto Summit 2009 at Festival Mall, Alabang last August 15-23.

Speaking of power, this car’s propulsion comes from a Honda B16A engine mounted behind the cockpit in a mid-engine, rear wheel drive fashion, just like a typical supercar! This is indeed something we’d like to get our hands on and drive on the circuit just to get a feel of how this car handles.

And if you’re curious about how this car will manage handling the curves, the suspension system was also taken from the donor Honda Civic SiR from which the engine came from.

We all know that a supercar has got to have the curves to make the driver look good in every sort of way. So here’s a view of this car’s behind. This is indeed something that people won’t mind seeing even when overtaken by this beauty on the road.

    Specifications:
    Body: Custom Fiberglass
    Engine: Honda B16A
    Suspension: Honda Civic

JP, anong very nice ka dyan... eh hiniram lang ni Jager yan from a Dutch site.

The Caterham is not an evolution of the Super 7 Lotus... it is merely another Tuner company which continued the Super 7 heritage by using the same platform.

Check mo yung mga plate number ng mga kotseng yan.... the VW outside the garage has some Belgian Plates on it... but the Caterham 7 has Dutch plates...

However, Nene Syquia makes an equally beautiful Super 7's in his garage... I should really take pictures of his workshop one of these days.

With regards to the Bar Stunner fiberglass car... It is not a Supercar at all... It will only be a Supercar once it comes into the 300 KPH territory. With all the creature comforts inside the cabin like AC, Stereo, etc.

The Curves criteria is not even a criteria at all.

What I see is a trying hard car wanting to be another McLaren F1 or a Ferrari F40. Thats all there is to it.

A lot of lines were borrowed from the famous marques, I am even inclined to believe that it was homolgated from another Kit-Car body which can be bought or ordered online.

For a design or a concept to become a supercar... it should be first and foremost already a supercar in paper. No compromises... in Ergonomics, Power Plant, Tranny, Technological inputs, etc.

One Example is... The Ronn Scorpion. Google about it.

Another Example would be the Bugatti Veyron, Noble and the Ultimax...

There are still many Supercars who attained this level without really trying to become a shadow or a mimic of another supercar.

If you paint the prototype Black... then you are already hiding many things from the public. The darkest color you can apply should be antracite grey like that of the REVENTON.

But it is customary to paint it in Silver or White... this is to show the beauty of the creation as it is... in Bone Stock Shape. The wheels doesnt have to be great looking.

For example... The Ferrari 308 GTSi - was considered "The Most ***iest Car ever". I am referring to the Magnum PI Ferrari. This is not even a Supercar, but the sharp and definitive lines oozes with ***uality.

You can put the body of this car even on Motorcycle Wheels... its beautiful body will still stand out.

I did it once already... I should know.
