    Hi Auto X-Er...

Can you get hold of the owner... I am really interested to have the story of CONGE in this thread. Those were the golden days of Philippine Racing... Pochiolo Ramirez drives these cars also and I remember he was endorsing them also that time. I know one of these rally cars - in Montalban... but I am really more interested with the mid-engined ones.

    wildthing,

Here's a photo of my mini....

shown here are the 10" mags... I have an extra set of 13" mags... yung rare na design for Minis... I still have to replace the worn out 50 Series yokohamas on them. Pag nakakabit yung 13" mags - maganda ang dating ng mini.

Is it still there?

I can't help notice your avatar... I also have a mini 1996 specs... but it's originally a 73.... 998 automatik. Do you race your Mini? (sorry mods... Off topic).
When I was in the Conge shop, I believe they were fabricating a street car, very low and yes it resembles the Ferrari and all fiberglass body- very nice! ya, I remember now, Victa is the name....................................yes, my mini is a 96 Mini Cooper, 1300 SPI. I dont race but sometimes have to relieve my itching right foot ( sorry too for the OT)

...... sorry Sir but I have to disagree. I believe that Mr. Victa was/is a professional craftsman and that he must have kept all the records of his endeavours. When I was in his office I even saw a framed newspaper clipping about what he is( a U.S educated automotive engineer . I really dont know this guy except that he bought my vehicle.......Paging Mr. Conge Guy, please share us your story

It's actually my wife's mini... I had a 63 Mini project for myself before, but I sold it already... 5 years ago.

Anyway, just for references... for the Pinoy Sports Car.

I believe we need to learn from history in order to reach our destinies... and one way is to immerse ones self with the cultural side of Sports Car History.... I did mine... and here's some of them.

I had this project lambo replica for some years and was forced to sell before going abroad... but not after I immersed myself with the design philosophy of it's styling.

My favorite was this 69 Dart...(whom I call MEG) a 2 door hardtop. I really feel relax in this car. Sometime I sleep in it. I really enjoyed cruising with it with my arm outside the window before sunset along the roads of Tagaytay... it's like a time machine.... you will feel nostalgic inside... this car still has the original electrical wiring.

This MG was also a descent ride... not too showy - but it has some subtle appeal... also fun with the top down.

Modern day sports cars lost the classic appeal... the Lotus Elise still has some though... but most looks the same like all the rest. I still admire the old sports cars of the 60's up to the 70's and early 80's... they look more faster than they really are. Who needs speed when you have good looks to display?... Speed is good only in the race track.

you have a point there about the "looks"....

however, if i would be bias...i will probably choose two baseline design styles - the old aston martin (driven by the old james bond) and old porshe (before the 911).

Sorry for the confusion, but I'm just quoting the guy who told me about the Conge cars and his involvement with them.
I'm sure we would all have loved to have him over for discussion and hopefully word does get to him and he sees it fit to be available for that.

Hehehehe.... try the SAE website... mas maraming inspiration dun similar to that but more extreme and more lean.

Check out their college projects - formula cars.. doing 3 seconds 0-100 accelerations... also some slalom actions...

    *Wildthing,

Isn't that a Z Cars frame that is supposed to be installed in a classic Mini body? It can take either a motorcycle engine or a Honda engine. I wish there was somebody in the Philippines who can fabricate a mid-engined Mini.

    http://www.zcars.org.uk/index.htm

(Note: the "Mini Monte Carlo" in the Z Cars website is has a full space frame).

sure everybody is welcome to join kasi open-source eto ....sige i'll start the research of the exact dimension of the austin mini rover....

pasensya na ehnriko I think the I Wheel dimensions you made seems quite big (for my budget) to make... so scale model size ang gagawin natin at likely it would be an austin mini dimension... so ang labas nun ay baka 1:3 or 1:2 scale ng actual planned sukat mo ang magagawa.
